  1. That's lame! How will they know how many people will be at the at any given time! Are they going to stand outside and watch? I guess I am more of the mind set that it is better to begg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission!
  2. Thanks! That is nice of you to say! EVERYONE - feel free to use any of the info I have on my website. It is much easier to one together if you don't have to re-invent the wheel! We are expecting to have between 30-40 guests. All family! The guest rooms are going to cost us around $7K and we figured people would appricate and remember that more than having a lobster dinner or really fancy flowers. We are going to go simple with the rest of the details. After visiting the Hilton I realized that our wedding will be amazing at that location no mater how simple it is. The most important things to us are the people we love being there, have a great time hanging out at the pool with everyone and of course the photos we will have after it is all said and done. (We booked Juan Carlos so I am sure that will work out great!)
  3. my website is www.070707.weddingwindow.com GLAD TO HEAR IT HELP SOMEONE WITH THEIRS!
  4. from one Sarah to another... AWESOME JOB!!!! I know your guest will love these forever! Won't it be cool to see your picture nicely displayed at your friends and familys homes for years to come! Again, TERRIFIC WORK!
  5. Great review Sarah! I had a similar mixed review of the photographer we used in cabo to take our engagement pictures. He even charged us gas $ to pick us up at our hotel and take us to the beach where he suggested we take our pictures. Not a huge deal but it was kinda weird. In the end we got some great pictures that we will look at forever. After looking at your pictures, I can see what you are saying about all the pictures of you alone and none of your fiance. I am still confident in my decision to use Juan based on everyones experience with him. Your review will be helpful to keep in mind so that I can be sure to dirrect him on what shots are importand to us! Thanks!
  6. I want to open these links but it says I don't have enough points...HELP!
  7. I have missed you all too! Life has been INSANE this month. We sold our house and are looking to find a place to rent since we haven't even started the one we are building! No to mention that I work as a sales agent for a new home builder and it is the end of our fiscal year 9/30! I have closed 39 homes in the past 30 days! CRAZY! Anyways....great to be back and I will try to figure out this new format!
  8. We are getting married at the hilton on 07-07-07 at 7pm. I went for a site visit and loved it! The staff is awesome and the grounds are amazing. It is going to be perfect! I haven't gotten the hang of this new site! I don't know if it is just me but it is very difficult to see the new posts and then once I have read them they don't disappear. Sorry Tammy! I need help!
  9. You continue to impress...what can I say! I am so excited to have you doing my wedding at the Hilton. I noticed that you haven't put together a slide show on the Hilton...maybe our wedding can be your Hilton feature?! Thanks for letting us take a look at these slide shows - they are full of great ideas and help get us ready for our special days!
  10. These bags are really cute and great price! Did you get them already? I am wondering how the quality looks and what they charged for shipping!
  11. I emailed Emiline at the Hilton reguarding some questions I had with my guest reservations. She got back to me within the hour! I thanked her for her quick responce and let her know that I was speading the word on the is board about how great she has been and how friendly she was when we met. She emailed back asking if she could have the name of this site.... I have mixed emotions about this....I kinda like being able to discuss vendors and what info we are being quoted with out them knowing exactly what we are saying! I am totally fine with letting her know that this site is just for brides, if that's what you suggest! Let me know what you all think!
  12. these pictures didn't show up! Try again!
  13. what did they play durring your ceremony? How many people were in the group? What was to total cost you paid? Did they play for 2 hours? I like the idea since it would be unique to Mexico but I haven't ever heard marachis play ceremony type music! It's too back we can't get their dirrect contact # - that way we wouldn't have to use Maye to hire them...
  14. Yeah, I am planning on booking my own vendors for everything. That seems to be the easiest on the pocket book! I don't have any info on musicians (haven't gotten that far yet!) But the girls on the board will be able to help, they are such an a great resource! You will love the Hilton! Everyone does! In general this resort is very service orientated! Check out the reviews from everyday guests on Tripadvisor. It doesn't get much better than that!
  15. I have been working with Emeline at the Hilton and she has been great so far! She has a very energetic personality and is super warm and firendly when you meet her in person. My FI and I went to Cabo last month to check out a few places we were considering for our wedding. The Hilton was our 1st pick initially and after we met Emeline that sealed the deal for us. She has been very quick about getting back to me on my emials - it sounds like you might have caught her at a busy time or something. You need to go with your gut on this but I wouldn't write off the Hilton yet! Let me know if you have any other questions!
  16. I am using Manuel Burgoin. When my FI and I went to check out some of the hotels in Los Cabos we called him and had him shoot some beach shots of us for our save the date. He was easy to work with and spoke perfect english. The shots turned out great! He has a website with samples of his work. If you email him you will probably get a responce in 24 hours.
  17. While we were down in Los Cabos my FI came up with the cutest idea for our save the dates... He wants to take a photo of us and put it in a silver frame that says "Los Cabos" at the top and our wedding date "07-07-07" at the bottom. Then when our guests come to our wedding we will have a photo taken of their family and mail it back to them with our thank you notes. At first the guests will have something around their home reminding them about our upcoming celebration and but in the end they will have something reminding them of the awesome time they had in Los Cabos. Seeing as this was a last minute idea while we were there I had to act quickly! I went to the business center at our hotel and emailed a photographer that I had been concidering, Manuel Burgoin, to see if he could help us out. He met with us at our hotel the next day and agreed to take some pictures for us at sunset. He is a really great guy and we had a lot of fun taking the pictures. I should have the results in a few days. We searched for silver frames while in Los Cabos but everytime I found one I liked the shop only carried 1 or 2 of that style. I need around 15-20. Any suggestions as to where I can find those awesome Mexican silver type frames in bulk? Also has anyone had stuff engraved through some of these on-line places? I looked at CreateAfavor.com but I am not sure how the quality will be. Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks girls!
  18. It's 2006! Use technology! I think it would be tacky to send an invitation via email but to get RSVP's this seems smart and easy! Let your Grandma show off her skills!
  19. PLEASE let me know where you got your invites and save the date cards! I would love to check it out! Who wouldn't be excited to attend your wedding after getting these in the mail?! AWESOME!
  20. This is an awesome link! Thanks! Yours are super cute too! Looking forward to seeing what you all are doing! (But I might end up using Janet's recommendation!)
  21. I am trying to come up with some cute ideas for our save the date cards! What did you ladies do I don't want to spend a ton of money on these since I will be sending out invitations later but I still want them to be nice! I heard a fun idea about using post cards from Los Cabos somewhere but I wasn't sure if that would come off as cheep! Also in the Martha Steward Wedding Magazine this month there are some ideas but they are kinda generic! Give me your thoughts and links! Thanks!
