  2. My FI got the BOSE sound-dock for x-mas and we are taking it down to use for our reception. We are still not sure if we are going to have dancing (since we are having a smaller group) or if we are going to just use it for background music. It can be really loud if you turn it up and I think it will work out great....
  3. Cool Tammy - We are looking at the ones that are kinda pearlized... I am going to use an open container and bring a zip lock bag to put the sand in. We are going to use the sand from the beach in cabo and then when we are packing to go home I will put it in the bag and dump it back into the container when we get home. The sand will stay together through out the whole process - I think that is all that matters!
  4. I have tried to re-read all the reviews of previous cabo bride but it hard when this info is not all in one place....I am heading down to Cabo at the end of Febuary to final some of our plans. I am working on a list of possable welcome dinner locations. We are expecting 30 adults and 8 kids to attend. I am hoping to spend less than $35 per person for this evening total - don't know if this is doable but sure would like to try. Here is what I have so far - please let me know if I have missed anything that have been great in the past. Also if you have any of the menus or contact info that would be great to. Mi Casa La Panga Antigua (might be a little too pricey) Tabasco Beach Club Desperados Damiana in San Jose

I can order them and pay with my cc and then you guys could send me a check for your portion and I'll ship you the shells. I want to buy 3 of them and Sarah if you get 4, were at $91. Here's the link. Starfish, Sea Shells and Tropical Decor by Benson's Imports So let me know if anyone is interested. sounds good to me - this is a really good price. I was hoping to be able to get 2 large and 2 small but it doesn't look like they have different sizes. Lets see who else wants to order them and maybe we can get the dozen large ones sent out - that makes them $11 each - you can't beat that price. WHO ELSE IS IN...LADIES?

  7. I hate the scale....earlier in the week when I checked I was down 7.5 lbs but according to my weight today that number is only 5.5 lbs -- FRUSTRATING!

Chambered Nautilus (Pearled) Seashells: seashells world I love these shells but they seem kinda pricey - anyone want to sell me theirs when they are done? I am thinking about using 2 large ones for Scott and I and then getting 2 smaller ones for the kids to use. Let me know.
  9. Week 3 of bootcamp is over! YES! I have 30 days until I will be in Cabo for my return site visit and I need to keep it up - swim suit here I come!

  12. Yeah - that is my next thing to research and check off my list. Making a table runner doesn't seem too hard....we will see. I am going to use fushia/birght pink for mine. I will keep you post on how it turns out!

We had a great time and stayed at the Marriott Los Suenos Resort. Green is a must as a wedding color in Costa Rica - it is so green there - it will be perfect!

TAMMY - you need to TRY to get moving more! You could have gone for a walk while they changed your oil....actually I am taking for granted that it is 75 degrees here.....but if it isn't freezing where you are THEN you could have gone for a walk! NO MORE EXCUSES! Get to the gym or else how was that??
  15. Thanks for the tip on the size - I actually found a great site for table cloths that are priced well. It is near where my FI works so I called and paid for them and he is going to pick them up. Check out Linens if you need these. I am paying $77 including tax to buy 7 black table clothes that measure 70" x 120". If anyone wants to buy these after 07/07/07 let me know. I don't think I will have any need for them after that!
  16. Most of you know that I am going for the "one long" reception dinner table. I can not get my linens thru the Hilton so I am looking at the cost to rent them vs. buy them. I am wondering...how long the table cloth should go down around the table? I know the table measures 3' wide by 6' long and i will be putting several of these together to make the arrangement that I have in mind. Should the table cloth go down the ground or only hang over a foot or 2 feet or what? I will also be using chairs with covers so I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Has anyone every made their own table cloths, table runners or chair bows? Seems pretty easy since it is just a big rectangle but I don't know if I am crazy to think this way.
  17. I got to bootcamp 5 days a week and sometimes on Saterday (last weekend we did a 10 mile bike ride.) The scale is not always the best indicator of what is going on with your body. I would recommend taking measurements of yourself and recheck them every 30 days or so. Since starting bootcamp at the end of November i have lost 7 and 1/2 pounds. I think that is pretty good but it never comes off as quick as we want it to. Your weight will totally change depending on what time of day it is and what time of the month it is too. Don't get discouraged - keep it up and it will be worth it in the end!
  18. Awesome review ..... thank you for all the details! It is so helpful to hear how everything went and what you would and wouldn't do again! I loved you flowers and have saved a picture to show to my florist (when i get one) since that is along the lines of what I want too. We are going to head to Cabo at the end of Febuary to finalize all the wedding stuff and find a place to hold our Welcome dinner - I am going to check out the place you went to for $35 per perdon - sound like a great find with an awesome view - who can beat that! THANKS AGAIN and CHEERS!
  19. I really like the frame idea - if someone has tried this out please let us know how it worked and any tips you have would be great too!
  20. He did some engagement shots for us while we were on our site visit in May. Nice guy, speaks great english - we book Juan for our wedding but would have choosen Manuel if Juan was already booked.

  22. great photos - I have really curly long hair and my FI loves my hair down. Let me know if you find any great pictures for me! I am not getting lucky with what i have found!
  23. Yeah - this thread is starting to make me think this is a very cool idea. It would be great to give the morning of the wedding - think about how awesome the wedding night will be with him thinking about those pictures all day! Another reason to go to bootcamp every morning....not saying I am going to do this but I am giving it some thought now. I am sure that these pictures are going to be private for you girls but if there are some that you would be willing to share with me for inspiration that would be awesome! I am so proud of you all for doing this - your hubby is going to remember these pictures always!
  24. I work really long days too and I fell into the "I don't have time" category too. I usually leave the house at 8:15 and do not get home unitl 8pm. On the days I am not working I am running around with my FI 2 kids and trying to cram in all the things I should have done durring the week if I had a normal work schedule. The issue of buying a wedding dress kicked my butt into gear because I knew that I would be looking at my pictures FOREVER and didn't want to get sick to my stomach everytime I did. That being said - I am so glad that I have gotten back into the habit of working out. Bootcamp is great for me - don't get me wrong I still have to convince myself to get out of bed every morning when it is still dark outside and I am nice and cozy warm! I have learned that if you change your habits even by a little to move more through out the day or make better food choices it will end up making a difference! You gotta start somewhere right!
