oh yes. I had one! I dreamt I picked my dress up from the bridal salon and didn't look inside the bag. Once I got to Mexico I went to take it out realizing they gave me the wrong dress- one that wouldn't even fit! In a panic, my family and I drove up to LA so I could purchase a new dress. So dumb.

I also dreamt one time that there was a tsunami warning on my wedding day. I decided to go through with it any way. As I was walking down the aisle, a huge wave took me out. That's a pretty bad omen, but I haven't had any crazy ones lately.

I had my first wedding nightmare last night lol lol It was actually comical. In my nightmare I was just about to walk down the aisle when I realize I didn't book a videographer lol I started to look around at my guests and no one had a video camera so I started screaming at my FI going,"I told you I should've booked one! Now I won't have video and its too late!" and I just started crying my eyes out. It was so weird but so funny at the same time. I think it's a sign. I gotta book a videographer soon hahaha

I kept asking where my dress was and people kept saying it was arriving soon. I finally get the dress and keep trying to make it down the aisle on time, but different things were keeping me from arriving at the ceremony site! I couldn't find my shoes, they lost my bouquet, all my wedding guests were drunk, and my FI is standing at the alter wearing tacky jean shorts and a yellow tee-shirt with cowboy boots!

I felt a little better when I woke up because I realized that even with my FI standing there looking straight CRAZY, I still couldn't wait to marry him!
OMG! I keep having dreams like yours (Except without the FI in the yellow tee and boots)! That I keep losing stuff, and things aren't ready, we're running late, I missed my flight, and I'm being hurried around and things keep getting in my way from getting there.

I try to not let them bother me. I just think subconsciously I am worried I will forget something or won't be prepared.

Eek, I had sort of a similar dream last night. - weather related, at least...

Actually it's my first wedding dream so kind of exciting! (FI's bro is getting married on the 15th which means after that all eyes are on us and our wedding - it's finally hitting home!!!)

Anyways, I had a dream that I was getting ready all day but it wasn't on Las Caletas - it was somewhere else. I didn't have my dress on but was in veil and makeup. When we got on the boat there were thunderstorm clouds. Everything was going fine, we were sailing to the island (on a HUGE pirate ship thing, LOL) when all of a sudden our boat went waaaay up on one side from the crashing waves. It was so turbulent! I think I woke up then...

The general tone of the dream was confusion. I didn't know what was going on. Maybe that means it's time to start planning...? wink.gif

I have recurring dreams about Tsunamis and I always wake up feeling like I'm going to have an anxiety attack after I have them. My dream dictionary says it means you're feeling overwhelmed by something, or you're bottling up your emotions.

Interesting. I probably was at the time- this was a few months ago when I was knee deep in wedding stuff. I just remember getting wiped out by the wave and trying to swim for dear life in my wedding dress. Then I ended up naked on the beach. Crazy how your mind works.

  • 2 weeks later...

Checking in with my recurring dream:

It always starts with FI and me setting up for the wedding, ie, putting votives on tables, checking the flowers, organizing the chairs for the ceremony. Then I look up and see that all my guests are sitting at the tables and its 6pm (30 minutes before start time). I then realize that on top of forgetting to get ready for the wedding, I forgot that we agreed not to see each other on the big day! All my guests are sitting there watching me decorate my reception in a bathing suit while they are all dressed up in suits and dresses. I get all freaked out and grab my sisters to help me get ready. While they are doing my hair and makeup, I am trying to stuff myself into a pink spandex, corset top dress with long sleeves that is 5 sizes too small!!! As i am standing there looking like sasuage meat exploding from the casing, I see FI out the window at the alter checking his watch... smile35.gif

... been having it once a week for a month now...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
