this is the funniest thread ever, my biggest pet peeve is when he is eating, and all i can hear is slurping and breathing it completely grosses me out. he pretty much knows not to sit anywhere near me when im trying to do something and hes eating lol. and then to make it worse he chews in his sleep like he has food in his mouth!! i have no idea why it is the strangest thing. needless to say he has been punched in his sleep plenty of times!

I had to shut my office door I was laughing so hard! This is a great thread. My pet peeve is that my FI is a hoarder. Not like A&E level hoarder, but pretty bad. Until he met me, he had NEVER (not exaggerating) NEVER given away a single piece of clothing in his life. He still had clothes from middle school, he's 32!!!

Another symptom of his hoarding is that he is constantly, always buying sh*t. Like not important stuff, but sh*t. We go to the drug store, he comes out with not one, not two but THREE fans. We go to Home Depot and he picks up four different types of duct tape (who knew there were that many kinds). We're repainting our house, and we now own every single painting device and gadget known to mankind. I get so mad at him, and then I look cheap because I don't want to spend the $3 for a roll of tape. The upside is that there is never any random thing I need that we don't have. Although, does anyone really need eight pairs of scissors?

OK OMGGGG! I had to get on here for a Vent this morning! Last night I went into my bathroom (we don't share bathrooms) and I have a red bath rug on the floor. There were NAIL CLIPPINGS that fi had just LEFT THERE ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally almost killed him! That is so nasty! And when he does things like that I feel like he just does it thinking, "she'll pick it up". UGH SO SICK! I am still a little mad about it (if you can't tell!) censored.gif censored.gif censored.gif

Oooh i have plenty!!!...I have summarized them like so:

Bag lady syndrome -He is a secret closet old bag lady, collects any piece of paper and leaves it lying around or stuffed in a drawer in his desk. There are like 10 yr old papers there and he won't throw any away!!!

Clutter Male Syndrome- Many males suffer from this, mine is no exception. He is used to piling his shoes in a corner and not putting them away. He thinks its easier to find them all that way. He also does this with clothes and any electronic gadget he owns. He stuffs them way in the corner of a closet or somewhere because as he states "they are easier to find that way".

Enunciation and Writing Impediment- My FI is an engineer who likes to blame on his New York accent his faults at verbal and written skills.. He tends to write things like he says it, an example of this is Linda I "spelt it right". censored.giffryingpan.gif

Darth Vader Syndrome- He breathes on the phone! But its like this really loooouuuud annoying breathing...

I have many peeves of folding laundry especially shirts etc. but he does help when he's around alot so I cant really blame him for it. I just refold it again when he's not looking..

Oh god that's alot of peeves!~ hahahahaah blush2.gif

Ok here's my favorite: when he's eating, he tends to make a noise in the back of his throat, kind of like a "mmmm" noise but it also comes out as a moan sometimes LOL I call it his "yummy pizza noise" as he used to make it when eating pizza but now it's whenever he hasn't really eaten lunch so he's starving and eating his supper really quickly. It's hilarious because he has no idea that he does it.

Ok here are mine:

He says "I seen it" rather than "I've seen" or "I saw"...He's gotten much better because I correct him every time...it hurts my ears...I don't know where he got it from as his mother doesn't say that.

He never replaces the toilet paper, even though the extras are in a cannister RIGHT NEXT TO THE TOILET!

NYCBRIDETOBE - FI used to hoard and save and not throw out but he has gotten much better. We went through his closet and threw out/donated everything he hasn't worn in a year or he couldn't remember wearing. He also thought anything and everything old was valuable. He's getting over that and realizing that living with less clutter is nicer. I've also learned that he doesn't realize a lot of the stuff he has and I've thrown out things without him knowing, like super ugly pants that were under tons of stuff in the closet. It's been a year and he hasn't missed them.

I LOVE this thread! FI has a little of many of these going on. The thing that bothers me most is this. He will have a gin and tonic w/ a lime in his office, and the glass will get hidden behind papers or something. I'll be cleaning days later, (I rarely go in there) and the lime will be in the glass rotting!! EWWWWW!

I asked so many times for him not to do this, but the other day, I asked much more firmly. Things have been smooth so far...

These are all two funny.

The only thing I have got is after a long night at work, FI will come home and go straight to bed, which I love because then I can fall asleep finally. :o) The is no longer a PP anymore because I have grown to laugh at it, but when I get up to make the coffee for the both of us, right in front of the door his stuff is every where, it just looks like his bag has just thrown up all over the entry way!

I'm glad i take it with a grain of salt now and just laugh. He is just way to tired to care when he comes home, and I'd rather have him in bed with me then cleaning up his stuff.... at least in till the morning!!! :)

-when he tells me to "chill out" or "relax" I become enraged!
-his lack of memory. I could ask him to pick up three things at the store: bread, milk and eggs and he might, and I say might, remember to stop but will come home with juice, margarine and chips and look at me as if to say, "Did I do good?" Haha, I laugh just thinking about it. He tries I guess.
I HAD to Reply!! I HAAAATE when my FI tells me to relax (he only does it to make me MORE mad, he says it in this condescending way - pisses me off!! I do it right back when I get the chance. hasn't happened in awhile thankfully).
Also have to say I HEAR YOU about the SOCKS/CLOTHES, same thing with dishes (I call myself the dish washer fairy). He goes in spurts with cleaning, and when he is in cleaning mood he starts nit picking me about every little item that is out of place.
Another one is that my FI is very motivated/determined - this is usually a very good thing, but when he has something he wants to get done he HAS to do it like this instant and he often expects me to helps (like projects around the house), even when it's not a great time for me...Have a little bit of patience, man!
Also - need to say I hear you with the "adjustments" of the nether region, I really hate it, it's such a gross habit - I hope he doesn't continue that when we have kids!!

BUT - I love him, and I miss him. It has been 7 weeks since I have seen him, I'm very excited for Thursday :)!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
