So I usually wind up gritting my teeth and saying "thanks, sweetie" then sneaking behind him to fix it. For example once he washed a favorite sweater of mine and totally ruined it but I couldn't have a nice, old fashioned satisfying hissy fit because he was trying to help me out by doing my laundry. We did have a little talk about reading the labels on clothes before you wash them, though (but that's not nearly as good a way to blow off steam as a temper tantrum lol).
I know exactly how you feel! You are thankful that they are 'trying' to help out, but deep inside I wonder if they sabotage on purpose so we stop asking? I ask mine to help fold the laundry and he does a horrendous job of it that I end up re-folding everything. Or we have this deal that whoever cooks dinner doesn't have to do the dishes...but he still doesn't do the dishes when I cook dinner, so then we have 10 plates and pots/pans all over the kitchen for a few days that I end up washing even though I cooked. I shouldn't complain too much though, he finally took the puppy outside to pee this morning so I could sleep in for once (he leaves for work at 6:30am and I prefer getting up at 7, but puppy won't let me sleep - he needs to pee!). Hopefully he'll get used to taking puppy outside in the morning, it sure was nice :)

These things drive me batty also! My own mother says "supposeBly" instead of "supposedly" and I would feel horrible to correct her because she's my mom and I love her dearly! LOL

One girl I work with always starts explaining stuff with "for one.." and there is NEVER a two. This happens a minimum of 3 times per week.

As far as FI goes, I tell him things that I find important and worth remembering. He responds. A week later he asks me a question and the answer is whatever I had previously told him, which turns into me saying "Really?!" and giving him the look. He gets mad and says he can't remember everything. I'm glad that is my only complaint about him.

Oh geez...well I work from home and I am usually up earlier than my FI who works shift work and has his days off. He will get up pour himself the most gigantic bowl of cereal and eat in the chair directly beside mine. I'm trying to concentrate and all I can hear is "Crush, smack, slurp, crunch, smack, slurp". No conversation...just sound effects. I wish he had a mute button wink.gif

This thread is hilarious

My FI works in construction, and when he gets home he leaves his work clothes dumped on the floor. I bought a clothes rack, but his clothes seem to multiply to now take up an entire corner of the room. He does the same thing with his regular clothes so I've started taking them, folding them and putting them on a special shelf in the closet. I'm pretty sure my obsession with keeping the place tidy and organized is his pet peeve

He also always throws his socks in the wash balled up, so not only do they not wash/dry properly, but are a pain to fold. One day I'm going to take every sock in the wash that is like that and dump them on his pillow

Okay, I can finally vent!! I have three:

-the socks...which I'm seeing is a theme on here but the worst part is we have two dogs and so they'll find one of these "said socks" they run and play with it, present it to me as a toy and when I go to grab it to play fetch I realize that I'm grabbing on to a dirty sock!! Gross!

-when he tells me to "chill out" or "relax" I become enraged!

-his lack of memory. I could ask him to pick up three things at the store: bread, milk and eggs and he might, and I say might, remember to stop but will come home with juice, margarine and chips and look at me as if to say, "Did I do good?" Haha, I laugh just thinking about it. He tries I guess.

FI does the last one too. Just yesterday we were at my parents and he was going to run to the store and get 2 things. As he was walking out my mom asked him to get her dinner rolls. He comes back with a bunch of stuff and the dinner rolls and neither of the 2 things he went to the store for in the first place. His reasoning was that he was trying so hard to forget what my mom asked him to pick up. Guess I should give him a break on that one.

I am SOOO glad someone else had to deal with this! It's just watching tv or movies that he does it. Been trying to make him stop for 6.5 years with no luck. I just lightly touch his face without even looking at him to temporarily make him stop without everyone telling me I am crazy and to leave him alone.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
