AHR Invitation Wording

Recommended Posts

I think its OK to leave out your madien or lasts names since its a little more casual.  Most people will know who you are without your last names included.  Mine was very simple.  The RSVP card had our last name, so in case someone was confused--that should have cleared it up!  Good luck!

Do you think it's okay to use my maiden name since I haven't changed anything yet?

Perhaps there is different etiquette in the UK where this bride is from?? Who's to say what etiquette is anymore???????!!!!!!  There aren't any hard rules anymore. You also don't know who her guests are. Maybe it's totally fine to them. Maybe you should find out more info before making a judgement call like this. Just sayin

I think they are all great. I laughed out loud on the money one and if it works for them how great. I would love people to give money only! lol... we are doing a post Cabo reception and i was wondering if and how people would know where we were registered if we didnt say it..ya know? We dont have a wedding website so im kind of lost. I like all the catchy rythems/poems...i would think most of these are for fun laid back POST reception. There should be no stress... We are calling it a Post Cabo Picture Showing, or something like that... we will have all our wedding pics playing on a slide show from the projector... i think everyone will feel involved and included that way ;)

We will see...

Natalie - I loved your wording so much that I stole it!!  Thanks for sharing.

Here are the ones we are thinking of.  Anyone have some good ideas on how to word it that its a black and white affair and all guests must wear black or white?  Do I need to be so blunt?  I think many will not know what it means or may not pay attention unless we spell it out for them.  We plan on inserting a small card with that info along with what time the ship boards, departs, map etc.  Also, can you guys chime in on the "Hosted by" line ?  His parents are paying for the reception but they would like my parents names on there.  Does it look weird with so many names...so many different names?

Thoughts??

I think the invite looks great! Minus one minor error- the reception has a date of 2011- don't you mean 2012? :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
