We are doing a ttd session, as we weren't going to have a party back home on our return, so i wasn't worried about it at all - as i wasn't planning on bringing the dress back.

But no we are toying with the idea of having a party when we come back - so i'm looking for some advice. My dress is costing me over $2900 - its my dream dress, so i'm not prepared to spend more money on 2nd dress. Sooo, my dress is silk - from past ttd'ers - will a silk dress clean up as new after the ttd session?! Or should I just forget it?! Luckily i'm not too bothered if you say no chance, as its not life or death that we have the party when we come back!
Silk is the one fabric that worries me. My dress was organza and satin and came out perfectly clean. DH's suit was silk and we decided not to chance it since he can wear it for work or another special occassion.

We had an AHR, but kept it super casual. No wedding dress for me that day.

I´m fasinated by this TTD trend.

But it only seems that it is done in small sheet style dresses and not in huge ballgowns.

Yes a huge gown would be extremly heavy, but at the same time it would better, I think.

Have you any pictures of any bride doing TTD in a Big expensive gown?

I haven´t seen any Reem Acra, Kenneth Pool or Hollywood dreams gowns in water?

Have it been done?
