Hair & Makeup In Cabo

Hi There,

I know that there are extensive great reviews (and a few bad ones )on Suzanne Morelle's makeup services. I've looked up Suzanne's website, and while all photos look amazing, their prices are a bit high, especially since I am planning on paying my 6 bridesmaids makeup as well.

So I was curious if any other bride out there has used another Hair & Makeup vendor out in Cabo, and what their experience were? Also, has any bride ever used the hair and makeup services at Grand Solmar? That is where I will be getting married at in November.

Go with Alma Vallejo!

I LOVED my hair and makeup and so did all my bridesmaids. The couple that just did their own makeup still used her for eyelashes!

It was $150 for bride hair and makeup and $125 for bridesmaids/moms or $75 for just hair OR makeup if they only wanted one!

There isnt a whole lot to read about her, but I dont know why! She was GREAT!

I'm so excited to hear about another makeup artist name! I came across Alma's website while doing google search for Cabo airbrush makeup artist. But seeing as how there wasn't much reviews, etc... I was a little hesitant to even consider as an option. Her pricing seems much more reasonable. Did you have to pay taxes on top of those prices or were those final? Was their team easy to work with? I am visiting Cabo in two weeks and am looking to book in a hair and makeup trial.

I too can recommend Alma Vallejo from Cabo Makeup. Please find below my experience with them:

Alma (makeup) and Mabel (hair) are very professional and do excellent work. They did my makeup and hair for my wedding in Cabo back in July and I couldn’t have been happier.

The makeup was great. Alma works with airbrush foundation which is very light and natural but at the same time stays put. She uses very good products (MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc.) and knows how to apply them. She also makes very good suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of (be open to new ideas, you never know!). Most important of all, the makeup lasted all day and night (from 4:00 PM until 3:00 AM !!!)

Now the hairstyle. I loved the hairstyle. I did not have a fixed idea of what I wanted, I showed Mabel a couple of pins I had gathered from pinterest and gave her the general idea: an updo with a lot of volume and a bit messy. She came up with a really nice low bun that was exactly what I wanted and she suggested adding flowers, which was a really nice and fresh touch to the overall look. I initially thought about a headpiece, but for a summer wedding in the beach, the flowers was the way to go. Thank you very much!

TIPS: If you do a trial, keep the hairstyle and makeup for the day to see how it holds up. In my case I decided to change the hairstyle to keep it a “surprise” for the wedding and by doing this I didn’t notice some things that I would have changed, Namely, a low bun was not a good idea for me, I had a bit more than a hundred guests, so that implies a lot of hugging (which is a great thing!) but the downside is that they kind of hugged the bun too and eventually it came undone. If you really want to go with this kind of hairstyle, ask for extra security pins, even if it is uncomfortable. And don’t worry about the surprise element, it will still be there once you show up with your beautiful gown and groom J
