  1. Go with Alma Vallejo! I LOVED my hair and makeup and so did all my bridesmaids. The couple that just did their own makeup still used her for eyelashes! It was $150 for bride hair and makeup and $125 for bridesmaids/moms or $75 for just hair OR makeup if they only wanted one! There isnt a whole lot to read about her, but I dont know why! She was GREAT!
  2. I used Gilda too! I absolutely LOVED her. However this wait for my pictures is getting a little frustrating. I just want to see them! She originally told me 6 weeks, and if she keeps to what she just wrote to me, itll be almost 13-14 weeks after my wedding that I will get them!

  4. Her wedding was at Casa Dorada!!!! AHH! I am so excited!! I get married in that exact place in 39 DAYS!!! :) :)

  16. I agree! @@misbosox My wedding is the week prior to yours and I gave my guests a March 1st rsvp deadline and just sent my invites out last week. This gives me a month to "push/remind" the people that haven't booked before I have to "drop" rooms on April 7th. (I say that because lets be honest, just because you send me my RSVP back, it doesn't mean you have booked flights or rooms) I was very fortunate that my TA allowed payment plans for my guests when they booked for the rooms. They just have to be all paid up by April 7th! So I honestly have a little more already for sure. Reading @@LisaAnthonyPoppy comments just reminded me everything my FI and I already talked about and discussed and are still ok with. Of course you are going to start freaking out about the rsvp date coming up or your friends not coming but you just have to remember this is Y'ALL'S wedding! On everything I have sent out, including to my bridemaids, I have always put the same disclosure on there: Please remember that Anthony and I understand if you can't come and celebrate with us in Cabo. It is a lot of time and money to ask you to come that far. I promise we will still love y'all the same. Please just know we expect you to be there front and center at our send off party! We wanted to make sure that they saw us "joking" about it and still having fun. Of course it hurts when we know that some good friends can't go... But then we remember it's about us and we honestly can't wait! Hang in there girl! It'll all turn out great! Wait a week or two before the RSVP date to send out a quick reminder email about booking rooms!
  17. @@MissMarissa I have been there for a massage and to lounge around all day. IT IS GORGEOUS. They have an awesome infinity pool with a walk up bar that is great to lay around. The service is amazing and great! As for their wedding sites, there is a great location that over looks the ocean on a "cliff" area. You can look up pictures online, like I am sure you have. If you already had your wedding placed for Hilton, I think you will be fine with the prices they have. (I dont mean that rudely at all!) However, that is why we decided not to go with them. I felt I can pay for that and be closer to the beach. In my opinion they were asking for a lot. They are the upscale sister property of Marina Fiesta, and I LOVE that hotel. That is where we always stay when we go there. It is where my whole wedding party and guests are staying for our wedding. They are very accommodating at the Hacienda Encantada and have many places you can actually get married. Hacienda Encantada is about 20 min outside of town. Hope that helps! They have an awesome package to stay there as well. My FI just wanted to stay at Marina Fiesta. lol.

  20. @@hp520 I asked the wedding coordinators at CD if I can have the foozeball table and such added for free while we are there for my wedding and they said they would put that in my contract for free! Also - it is $30 for 1ltr of alcohol to bring it in
  21. @@jazzzy23 I am using Sergio as well! He has been pretty good at getting back to me. I have the quote from him, and we are actually paying cash when we get there. This is the only thing that makes me nervous, because I dont have a "contract" but I am planning on emailing him every 2-3 months until the wedding. I am also going the "cheaper" route to save money and I am buying them all separate, and putting them together myself the day of with ribbon etc. However, I am just getting sunflowers and babys breathe. Because of this, and not telling him I was a bride, my flowers only cost $230!!!! :) I felt like I needed to party after seeing that number compared to $1000's I was seeing from other people.
  22. @@flo628 Can you let me know how much alcohol your WC bought for you and for how many people. I am trying to figure out what would be cheaper. CD is saying there is a $35 per bottle fee to bring in the alcohol. But if I understand her correctly, that price includes 6 mixers and their bartenders. Thank you ahead of time!!
  23. I ended up with Gilda Badillo! Her pictures look amazing and her prices were VERY reasonable!!! I am excited for this!
