Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hi, the rooms themselves look the same as the Ocean view and Ocean Front rooms... the only difference is in the view. I still am not completely sure about the difference between the views in the standard (garden view) rooms and the ocean view suites. I know that the ocean view rooms have a view of the pool and the ocean looking straight ahead. I believe that the garden view rooms can either be facing the pool or the garden, and you have to look to the side to see the ocean. Hope this helps...

Okay, my wedding is next week and I have a few minor unanswered questions (probably silly questions)

1.) Does any of the restaurants require men to wear CLOSED TOE SHOES or will nice sandals sufice?

2.) Has anyone used the videographer for a DVD ofthe ceremony? Was it worth the $350 or should I just bring my own video camera and stand it on a tripod? (My concern with this is that I have no one to hold it so it would stay in one spot the whole time.

3.) Did anyone pay cash for the wedding or is it typical to put it on a debit or credit card? (I'm a little concerned about using my credit card/debit in Jamaica b/c of all the horror stories I have heard)

Thanks in advance
Based on my visits to Jamaica I have used my credit and debit card and its all been good what I would suggest is when going on tours take cash with you for shopping and if you will be paying for a taxi ride. Cards are good. I wish you all the best who is doing your flowers for the wedding? Is Nicole your planner too, have a great day i hope i helped please keep in touch after your wedding so we can hear about it.

Thanks magz! :) I will be sure to post pictures when I get back.

Speaking of pictures, I think some people on this thread were looking for more info on the photographer...Nicole sent me a link to their website, so here it is:

DIGIPIX LTD

The pictures in their portfolio actually look really good, but I don't know if we get the specific photographer that took those pics.

We're bringing down our own photographer...he's a friend of ours who did the pics for another friend's wedding in Jamaica and did a good job. He does photography as a hobby/side job and we just had to pay for his air fare and hotel. He's still working on his style, but I like the fact that we already know him and so do most of our friends, so everyone will feel comfortable with him around. We're thinking we'll use the resort photographer to take the pics during cocktail hour while we're doing the after-ceremony pics, since we still get 12 pics free from them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
