  1. They ultimately are there to assist your guest in booking so that your saved the headache.
  2. I'm going to buy a few pieces once the summer is over. I plan to be in a bathing suit 70% of the time lol
  3. I wouldn't just because that's why you may get a TA plus prices vary.
  4. We are definitely using a hashtag.. Something like #finallyClaytons (my FI and our daughter have the same last name).
  5. Do what will make you feel comfortable. My advice is this is YOUR special day and those invited should be people who care and matter to you and your FI.
  6. We are spending a week in the resort we are getting married inat (to allow time with our guest) and then going to another resort for the HM (which is a complete surprise to me) for 4 days.
  7. You did great so far. The matches are on point. I am not sure where you are located but some K&Gs have big selections.
  8. I went with a small heeled sparkly silver shoe... I have also played with the idea of getting sandals as back up lol
  9. Definitely look online and maybe try davids bridal (not sure if there's one in Canada).
  10. Sticky situation. I think having the one room with the "grandparents" shouldn't be an issue. At the end of the day I doubt someone will say anything.
  11. I am definitely writing a heartfelt letter to my groom before the ceremony. I have not decided on a gift (because he's super picky), but I figured with the letter he will be grateful.
  12. My only advice is please do your research. Go on the wedding site, use google, look up youtube videos; any site where you can see an actual ceremony and reception (depending on what you want). We were lucky to have chosen a decent resort (only picked it because they do one wedding a day and the cost was good). But after booking we kept researching other resorts and thank goodness we picked the one we did.
  13. We are having a religious ceremony but the resort is providing the officiant.
  14. Definitely set a deadline and if they give you attitude kindly explain to them that " it is an honor to stand by your side on such an important day but if they find that this could be a difficult choice for them then maybe they should sit and enjoy it".
  15. Definitely make sure to book your date with the resort. Once you pick a TA send save the dates out ASAP. Then begin doing your research of the resort (this should take place before booking and after). I found planning easier when I sat down with my FI and we discussed what we want and don't want. **** But first things first do not stress on things you can not change (guest attendance, attitudes, family, late RSVP cards and things being perfect). Congrats and may you have a stress free planning.
  16. I think it depends on your BMs. I went shopping with my girls but I only picked the color. I barely said anything while they were there. They tried on 5 dresses and all agreed on one (which I ended up loving). I did not want to stress them out but yet I want them to feel comfortable. I have let them decide on their own hair styles and they are freaking out lol. My advice- is give them a direction.
  17. My friend just made bouquets for a wedding. Once I saw her work I have her doing mine. Here's her samples:
  18. One of my good friends is making my BMs bouquets. This is some of her work:
  19. Ours are going with this look in a medium gray, white shirts, gray shoes and a purple, gray, white tie.
