  1. I love Zumba. I play it on wii and its like a game where you perfect the technique and win achievements. It also tracks how many calories I burn, weight changes, and lots of other useful stuff.
  2. I'm trying the 90 day challenge, but it's not working for me. Maybe I am doing it wrong & you can help by posting recipes & tricks to feeling full longer.
  3. I worried at first too, then everyone & their dog (lol) started booking. Now I'm freaking because I have alot of extra OOT bags & seating arrangements to budget for... Best to just look at the bright side of any situation & not take it personally. If few people go, you save $ & have a more intimate affair...if many go, you have a large group to hang with. No matter what you still get married & it will be amazing
  4. Hi from NFLD... gettting married in DR March 2014 & can't wait!
  5. March 2014, Majestic Colonial, Punta cana.... never been out of the country before, pretty nervous & excited
  6. I'm marrying in DR so its a tropical theme, but I have raspberry/wine color BM dresses. I love the orange against the blues of the water... can I get away with orange highlight color (ie: tulle, deco flowers) even though my girls are wearing raspberry? If not, do anyone have suggestions?
  7. I need my 150 too! thunderstorms here in NL. I miss the storms in Toronto, much more intense.
  8. I feel the same way... I try to post as much as possible, but don't want to be a pain in the @#$ either lol... 150 is alot, better get my butt in gear!
  9. Our resort charges for different deco packages... $400-$900! If you bring your own & want them to set it up, they charge $150-$300 (depending on # of guests) for ceremony, then $190-$350 for reception setup. There is also a venue rental fee for the reception of $500/hr. I'm using minimal deco (its so beautiful anyway) and having friends set up what I have.
  10. no, they dont The only reason I am using it is because it was highly recommended by desktop publishers but I find it cumbersome to use for laypeople. Its more for people who have experience in DP tools. Now that I am used to it, its not so bad. I like it because it gives you total control over what a project will look like |& it has a wiki.
  11. I have booked them for my March 2014 wedding in DR. They have been extremely helpful and respond quickly to everything... even things that don't have anything to do with photo/video. I am friends with them on FB and we chat often. Pascal is hilarious and makes you feel like you've been friends for years. They also live in DR with their families, so it was important to contribute to the local economy while getting amazing services. Its good to know you have someone on the "inside" to navigate these things for me Cheers
  12. I am having an informal DW, so I want my AHR to be informal as well. Just a party at a local club with finger foods and dance. My people mostly want to mingle and party anyway, so a formal sit down dinner with speeches and cake cutting would be monotonous to them anyway. Its best to find your personal style and go with it! Theres no wrong way because its all about enjoying everything
  13. I was quite intimidated by it all as well. I had no experience or friends who had a DW, but I have since researched a bit and found sites like this to organize my addled brain lol. Once I had a master list of to dos, settled on a TA, set up flight info... it all fell into place. I am enjoying the benefits of a DW now Relax & enjoy, thats what its all about
  14. wow! beautiful wedding and the ideas are great. You did an amazing job planning, thanks for sharing
  15. I am doing it using Scribus (free software) & its not completed yet. Not sure where to get it printed but there are alot of printing places around that I can bring the converted .pdf file & have it printed in glossy mag paper. I can't upload/view anything on this site yet cuz Im so new but when I get enough replies on this site & they give me my big girl panties I will certainly post it! lmao cheers
  16. I am booked at the Majestic & I frequent the FB group site "Majestic Colonial Brides" and Jellyfish is well known by these ladies. I found it to be a great resource for honest feedback on everything!
  17. People are shocked when I tell them the costs associated. My FI mom was expecting to use my photographer to do family portraits of her other children's families. I had to explain that we only have him for a few hours, not the whole day.
