  1. I'm going nuts over it right now. So stressed...wondering how the heck are we gona pay for all this madness!
  2. I think men should most definitely wear an undershirt under their dress shirt. I actually think it looks odd if they don't have it on. They may think it will feel hot but in truth it will catch their sweat if they're melting under the hot sun.
  3. Definitely put a limit on it if you're on a budget. I made the mistake of not doing that. I wanted a 30 person wedding and that's why it's a destination. Guess what my guestlist is currently at??? 118!!!!!!
  4. I love the sweetheart neckline. But go with your heart ...not my choice...I think I may have been the only one who voted for the empire waist. LOL!! I may be just thinking of what worked for my body type and not analyzing the whole picture. Maybe the seamstress can also help steer you in the proper direction. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
  5. WHy have I never heard of this site before??? Such cute stuff!! And prices!! Thanks!!
  6. THis looks great! The stamp looks very professional too. I bet mine will be stamped crooked or something with my luck. But I will probably make a run to Michael's on the wknd anyway and check it out. Thanks!! Quote: Originally Posted by Canada05 This is a picture of the programs. 7. I haven't posted a pic yet but I will. I don't know why I have this idea that my dress has to be kept secret. LOL. Some of my colleagues are on here and are always scoping things out. The last thing I need is for them to tag me on FB or something. But wateva...I will post one soon. Or maybe after the wedding. Or maybe I'll just post with a threat to anyone who knows me. Hahahah! JK! Mine is lace also. I LOVE Lace. On the wedding shows they always say lace is old school but I think that's what I love about it. And I always think they look amazing in it. It's romantic and soft and girly. Hmmm...all the things I am not. But it's one day of my life where I can transform myself and channel my inner Beyonce so I'm going BIG!! :-) Anyhow, I'll say it again...You look amazing in that dress!
  8. LOL@ she's white and I'm not...sorry, I'm oblivious at times and didn't even look at your profile pic as i was writing!! hahaha! Ummm...I would actually like to see how the belt looks a little higher. It may work too. Either is great! YOU LOOK STUNNING! And I'm having dress regret as I stare at that pic cuz that's very similar to one that I really wanted!! LUV IT! And def do the sweetheart! It will add so much to it and def adds a feminine touch!
  9. Luv the postcard from Vista Print. GOing to check them out right now too. :-)
  10. Do you have a photo you can post? I'm in need of inspiration for my programs. I bought cheap invites from Michaels and was going to use for program but it doesn't allow for much text. Now I'm nervous and want to try somehting else but don't know what.
  11. Is this a actual pic of you in the dress? The natural waist does look great. But I'm a fan of the higher waist because for me, Im semi petite but I have an athletic shape and a high bum (lol). So anything on my natural waist makes me look boyish and straight. The higher up waist makes me look curvy. Which is the look i'm aiming for. We have very similar dresses. In fact I am almost certain I almost got this dress. I remember trying it with a belt also. LUV IT!!
  12. Im doing my programs like this and i basically punched 2 holes thru the top and tied the bow thru them and in the front. You may be able to add a cute fake flower or something too or something that goes with your theme. You can get these cute push pins from micheals store also. They're called Brads. Some come with embellishments too.
  13. Typically the brides' name goes first and then the grooms. And if it's a same sex couple, it's listed alphabetically so depending on the last names, that is who goes first.
  14. @Kdoyle - I love the laid back look. The weather will beHOTand I expect my GM to be in just their shirts, sleeves rolled up before the end of the ceremony anyways. As for the GM outfits, my FI says he thinks bow ties are LAME. Gosh...I spent all day shopping for this particular look for them and he now tells me he hates bow ties and good luck getting any of the guys to wear one. hahaha! I honestly went in EVERY store from low to high end. I saw some really cute ties at a mens store called Stars I think it was called. They were only $15-$20 too. And they came in all colors from peach, pink to coral. That's the colors I'm currently looking for.
  15. Question - I'm just now working on the men's attire...so late. I shoulda added that to my list of To Do's but silly me, why would I think i needed to organize that on top of EVERYTHING else. Argh!! Anyhow, my question (sorry for the mini rage/rant) is this...FH is going to wear a charcoal suit with tie. GM will be wearing grey pant/vest (no jacket) with (i think) white shirts. Should they wear a patterned peachy/pink bow tie with the vest or stick with a regular slim (not skinny) tie?? I went shopping today and was totally overwhelmed by all of the choices. Time is ticking and if I'm not careful they will be walking down the aisle in their beach shorts. HELP!!
  16. I think that weekend works for me also. Im just waiting to hear if the family has any easter plans so let me know what date so I can confirm. As for the hair accessory, are you doing a beach theme wedding? I like the look of the flowers but I'm not 100% on the star thingy's sticking out at the top. BUT...if everything is beach shells and star fish then I think it will go along with the theme.
  17. If you ever go to Buffalo you can ship to a warehouse called CBI. Just drive to Buffalo and pick it up. It's at a cost of $5 pkg. It's great. That's how I ordered all of my supplies. You're in Sudbury. If they won't ship it to you and you don't drive, let me know because I don't have a problem picking it up for you when I go and you can email tsf me the $ and send a courier to get from me. That warehouse has been a LIFESAVER. I'm planning to go to Buffalo mid April sometime for my last round of stuff. I need more hanging paper lanterns and am shipping them there.
  18. Has anyone ordered one of those embroidered handkerchiefs online? Just wondering if they turned out great and who you ordered from? I've seen them on etsy but all in the states. I'd prefer a canadian but will take what I can get at this point. TIme is ticking and I need to hurry it up.
  19. Thats good to know. I'd never have thought of that cuz you're right, it is just a pile of garbage on the grass afterwards. But I showed the actual bag of petals to them when I was there and she said "great deal! These are perfect!" Thankfully I saved myself $150 which is what the florist was charging. I've seen some ppl actually glue the petals to the aisle runner which would help avoid those pollution situations.
  20. Oh that's good then. I think the ones I talked to were annoyed because I talk alot and I was pretty much reading a list off my laptop while we were talking. They prob thought...oh great....here's another one. Hahaha! But they did say just what you said - to give them any lists of people or shots that are most important such as those. I'm prob a vendors nightmare.
  21. I love this sign! What are the fonts used? I'm going to have to steal this idea from you :-)
  22. I got mine from Justartifacts.com. It was $5 for 1800 petals and I bought pks because I wasn't sure how many I'd want. Figured I'd give away or sell after if I don't use em all. They come stuck together and you pick apart. Michaels was selling 200 petals for $10 so it's a great deal.
  23. prettyfacesjm is there facebook page. I'm using Face Forward Cosmetics. I liked the look of her makeup...well blended and airbrushed. Much cheaper than Loni Jones and Paul March too.
  24. Welcome!! A friend of mine did that for her wedding in Jamaica. She had everyone in for the weekend at a resort in Negril and then after the wedding everyone left and went and did their own thing....we went to Montego Bay. The bride/groom went to Ocho Rios I believe and checked into a resort for their honeymoon. It was a really nice atmosphere. If you went that route, I'd suggest you do the reverse of what she did... get married at an all inclusive in Montego Bay with the kids and then head off to a resort in Negril for your honeymoon. It is soooo romantic there. That's where my proposal happened and I remember thinking why are we at this romantic beautiful place. LOL.
