  1. If you're in Toronto area, there's a store in most malls called Pinstripe. I saw some great linen suits for $150. Perfect for destination wedding. If he only wanted the pants I'm sure it's a lot cheaper.
  2. I have less than 2 wks til I leave!!! EEEEKKKKK!!! So excited but also going nuts. LOL! How's everyone else holding up?
  3. I'm probably going to do a full head sewn in because I want my hair to be straight and my natural hair is curly and will revert to curls at the first sign of humidity, heat, water or anything for that matter. I am probably going to relax my hair next week. I don't really want to but am nervous about having curly roots and straight ends in my wedding pics. LOL I'm not sure what hair to get either but it needs to be something good. I checked out the site you posted and that hair looks pretty good. My only concern is the hair colour. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon enough though. Thanks!!
  4. Wait a minute...just realized the wedding hasn't even taken place yet!!! WOW!! You're a superwoman...you've done so much already and you still have time to post all this stuff. I think you may be my new hero. Ok so let me say again, but the proper way. Your projects look FANTASTIC! And I wish you all the best on your upcoming day. Cheers!
  5. This looks fantastic!! Congratulations on a beautiful wedding. I fully intend to copy your welcome letter, time capsule and maybe even your trip to Dunn's. Did you book through the hotel or a private tour company? Thanks for all the beautiful inspiration and congrats again. I'm about 3 wks away and now I'm inspired to take on some more DIY projects. So thanks...I think. LOL! JK.
  6. OOPS!! LOL...I thought you were talking about hair extensions...on your head. I'm trying to find a good brand to use because I want some added length for the wedding.
  7. What brand of extensions will you be using? Do you swim and can it get wet??
  8. Do you have a favorite genre of music? Who are some of your favorite bands? That's a good place to start and I'm sure we can make a few suggestions. Or maybe something specific about your relationship that you can say that will remind us of a song that has a similar love story.
  9. My friend lent me a collapsable card box that she has used at a few weddings. She's a wedding planner. I believe she got it at Michaels. It's just a cardboard white box that pops up into a fancy one.
  10. LOL...yup! It's stressing me out. The vows/personal message that I already wrote takes about a min to a min and a half when I read it out loud. Knowing FI, his will take 20 seconds. I'll search for the posts and see what I come up with. At this point, I figure its our wedding and if we want to speak before the official vows, we may as well. Even if ppl are scratching their heads wondering wth is going on. LOL

  12. I made my programs from a pk of $10 clearance invites from Michaels. 50 programs for $10. Printed and added a bow. Voila! Def not a necessity but a nice touch. And I know that they will get thrown out right after but it was either use the invites or make the trek back to michaels to return them. Lol. I took the creative lazy route.

  14. Question about vows - Do the bride and groom say the same thing or can it be a personal message followed by the vows the officiant puts together? I have written what I thought was vows but really, I think it's just a personal message to share before friends/fam before saying vows. So confused...

  18. We're wedding day twins!! Pray I don't get rain and I'll do the same for you :-) I did a DIY program and it's an invite I picked up on clearance from Michaels. It looks similar to your menu except that I added a bow at the top. I like it a lot! You've done a great job with everything.
  19. ok..glad to know i'm not the only one. and it also seems like my phone is constantly ringing, pinging or vibrating for some reason or other. It's only a matter of time before I lose it and just throw it through a window. haha
  20. Is anyone else beginning to feel overwhelmed? I was up until 4am last night printing my DIY programs. Now this weekend I have to put them together. I also have a couple other DIY projects I've been working on and am finding them to be more tiring than anything else. Argh! I feel like I'm forgetting something that needs to be done but of course I couldn't even begin to think what that is.
  21. These look FANTASTIC!! The flowers look real to me and I love how you put them together. Great job!
  22. That really does suck that you're worrying about her feelings and issues at a time like this. But in reality, that's just how life goes. You can't force her to join the festivities or pay for her share of hair/makeup. I've learned that it's best to just say "I understand" and let it be. Perhaps someone else like FI mom will pitch in and cover her. But you've given her an invite, she politely declined. It's no sense in dwelling on it. She'll still be at the AHR and there for the pics and it will be a great day regardless. You never know...she may have a friend or someone she wants to do hers for free. Don't sweat the smal stuff!
