  1. Hi Nicy, So sorry to hear about Stephen's Gran. At least he was with her at the end. Not long now girl. I've loved reading all your posts, but always felt like I was butting into a conversation. Looking forward to reading your review when you get back.
  2. Hi SarahTD, Congratulations. How are you getting on with your planning?
  3. Hi, So glad to hear that everything went according to plan. I'm looking forward to reading your review & seeing your pics. Congratulations on becoming Mrs.
  4. Nicy, You look absolutely fantastic in your dress. Truly stunning. Loving the veil too.
  5. Hi, We're getting married in at Sandals, Antigua which is all inclusive so not sure whether it would help or not but my guests are paying £1500.00 per person. This includes their flights from the UK & 7 days in Antigua. We only have 4 guests coming & we discussed it with them prior to booking. Thankfully they were happy to pay. We did negotiate this price though & managed to get them to reduce it by £500 per person as we booked very early in January & were able to push for 2010 pricing. Not sure if this is at all helpful but please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

  7. Congratulations & welcome to the site.
  8. Hi, Sorry to hear that you're getting frustrated. I agree with the other posts on here about speaking to a TA with your budget. We had no clue where we wanted & found they were so helpful. Congratulations & hope you get it sorted.
  9. Hi Stacey, Welcome to the site. You'll find so much information here. It's been invaluable to me. I'm also getting married in Antigua - 4th August 2011. How are your plans going so far?
  10. It looks fantastic, looking forward to the update when you get back. Thanks for sharing & have a fantastic time.
  11. Hi FleetMac Bride, Sorry to hear you're not getting anywhere with your Coordinator. We booked our wedding Jan 3rd for August 4th. We did go through a TA though. Not sure if this made any differance. Good luck & hope you get your date soon.
  12. Hi Kim, Aahh, the Virgin Islands sounds fantastic. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. It's really difficult trying to pick the right dress. That said, budget does have a big part to play. I'm sure you'll look stunning. Pronovias have some beautiful gowns. We do have a wedding coordinator & of late she's been a lot better communicating. I forget that she has countless other weddings to arrange & that mine isn't that high on her list. (Not yet anyway). She's been ok but not too proactive with telling us what's available etc. We've had to ask her questions. I'm sure it'll all come together & from what I hear most of the finer details are arranged once you arrive at the resort. You're very well organised. We still have to finalise music, although we do know we having the steel drums. We've booked a Sandals photographer, but are still looking for somone to take some TTD shots away from the resort. Other than that, I THINK we're pretty much there. Happy planning. I'm sure you'll have a truly amazing time.
  13. Absolutely amazing. You must have worked non stop on this. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Hi Nikki, Thanks for the reply. Have sent you PM. Looking forward to hearing from you Alex
  15. Hi, I wouldn't use my experience with Ebay as a reason not to buy an online dress. Some are fantastic. I just had bad luck. Try some of the websites suggested. Word of mouth is the best recommendation. We're getting married at Sandals Antigua. How about you?
  16. Hi Kim, Good to hear from you. You're location looks absolutely fantastic. Our wedding is August 4th so only a couple of days before you. I can't wait but it still seems soooo long away. Do you have many guests? Our's is only small with 6 people including us!! Thankfully the boxes are approved to be used as hand luggage so I can take my dress on board with me. I'd be devastated if it got lost. Have you got your dress yet? I'm on my third choice now. The first I got off Ebay which turned into a disaster. Cheap material, wrong sizing etc. The second I thought would be ideal for a beach wedding but then decided it didn't feel weddingy enough. The third, is perfect & definitely 'The One'....Thankfully. We've decided to go for the Martha Stewart wedding with Sandals, the Beautiful Beginnings package. I thought it would be so stress free, but am finding it difficult being so far away & not being able to clarfiy many things until we actually arrive on 1st August. I'm sure it'll turn out fine & I'm just worrying for no reason. How are you finding your planning, have you organised much yet? I'm looking for a photographer to take TTD pics. We're not allowed to bring outside photographers onsite at Sandals & I'm not convinced as to the quality of the ones we have to use so thought it might be a good idea to go out & about in Antigua & get more pics, we didn't think it would be too much of a problem getting dressed up the next day & you can never have too many wedding pics right? I'm so pleased to chat to someone who will be on the island the same time as us. There doesn't seem to be many Antiguan Brides on here. Looking forward to hearing your plans.
  17. Hi, I'm interested in your card / money holders. Would you ship to the UK & if so, how do you want me to make payment? Looking forward to hearing from you Alex
  18. Hi, Like you I also fell in love with a wedding dress online. It was a seller on Ebay with the dress being shipped from China. They had 100% positive feedback & all seemed to be good. A friend of mine had also ordered her dress online & it was fantastic. (Different seller) Anyway, to cut a long story short, it shipped 2 weeks earlier than expected. I was so excited. When it arrived it wasnt boxed but was in a plastic shipping bag. It looked 'kind of' like the picture & the quality was horrendous. The sizing was completely wrong, despite me having had my measurements taken professionally. To say I was gutted is an understatement. I have now bought a dress from a bridal store locally. That said, I have read lots of reviews on here where brides have left fantastic feedback for dresses bought online & hopefully my experience is one of the raritys rather than the usual. I'm also getting married on 4th August. Not long now!!!
