  1. this is a great site! I really believe that keeping down the guest list can significantly lower costs. Too bad my FI wants everyone invited
  2. The location of the reception depends on the amount of people at your wedding. For small weddings, the lobster pot is usually what is used. Medium- Mexican resteraunt (pretty terrace). Large (over 50)- fountain area. i'm sure if you didn't like these locations you could probably use any of the resteraunts, but they're definately good options. We crashed a party in the fountain area last year (funny story). And it was AWESOME! huge area for dancing and seperate area for food/drinks etc. My goal is to have at least 50 people so we can use this.
  3. Do any of you know if they provide different color linens (i.e. napkins, tablecloths etc) for the reception? We're thinking white on white might be a little boring.
  4. Love! Seinfeld? (random I know. But it's on tv in the background right now)
  5. I actually did get a quote from mishka- thought it was alittle pricey but it is quality work. Might have to weigh the pros and cons. My FI actually came up with our tagline! It's going to be in our invites, welcome letters and OOT bags. He did a good job!
  6. We will be dividing everything up amongst our guests too. I'm thinking of getting plastic storage bins to put stuff in and have it as an extra bag (saw this in Puerto Vallarta at a DW). It seems the safest way.
  7. That's a good idea! It will save you a ton of money! I wasn't a fan of any of the options and the prices were ridiculous. We're bringing vases down (donated from my future SIL's wedding), filling them with a few "pool blue" rocks from AC Moore, white and fuschia orchids, topped with a floating candle. I'll post a picture when I upload them onto my computer.
  8. I LOVE THESE!!!!!!!! We are thinking of doing koozies, but I think I actually like this better!! Where are you getting your maracas from? I initially thought I would be getting them from a resort I stayed at in Puerto Vallarta this past fall, but it seems to be falling through (the WC has yet to respond to me after 3 seperate emails). Therefore, I'm now looking into what my other options are.
  9. We booked La Luna (sister company of Del Sol) for 5 hours. They will come 1 hour prior to our ceremony and then will stay a little into our reception.
  10. That sounds really pretty! I had to pay more for the orchids but my heart is so set on them. Our centerpieces (which we are making) will have the same color orchids.
  11. Wow!!! This is a huge help!! I want one of those cupcakes too!! mmmmmm
