I never thought of red with aqua - but I came across quite a few examples while planning and it works so well together! Great choice! The red will really pop there - you've probably already done this, but if you just google red and aqua, some nice inspiration images come up.

I agree - it's up to you both - whatever makes you happy. We're doing a reception, but we also estimate that we'll have at least 60 people. We're not doing an AHR, although we're having a legal ceremony at home with a lunch/dinner for immediate family before we leave.

We're doing a peacock blue, green and bronze-brown (peacock theme) - I was concerned about the blue being too much with the ocean too - I love the pink orange colors - esp in beach pictures and I love Jim Hjelm's dresses!! I've been trying to sell my BMs on his.

We were interested in the PuntaCana resort, but I emailed them at least 3 separate times for information and never heard back so I scratched it. Love to hear more about how your experiences go - from the website and some of the reviews I've seen, it looks lovely!

Welcome and good luck with the planning! We started with a pretty broad list of location possibilities and we chose the Dominican Republic - the major factors in our decision were: visa issues direct flights - large group and lots of small children all-inclusive resorts From there we just started weeding out places.

Those are great ideas - I was thinking the chapstick & hand warmers route myself. You could also do insulated cups...

Ah, thanks - I think we'll be carrying on a lot of stuff, but I can't imagine any other way to keep them from being crushed! I better think fast though or else I may be out of luck - our wedding is only about 7 months away now!

Wow! I've just started running - registered for a half in October - ran (s - l - o - w - l -y)my first 5k a few weeks ago and was surprised that I had fun! 556.73 + 3 (yesterday) = 559.73
