Oh yeah, that makes me happy to hear. I find it very stressful not knowing what a place is like when you've picked it for your guests. Any other comments about the resort that you wouldn't mind sharing. I can take the good and bad so I am prepared.

I guess the security is a good thing but that is too bad that you had to go through all of that. Would you mind giving some feedback on Ocean Blue? I am getting married there but staying on the Ocean Sands side. I wish I could have done a site visit before. Thanks!!

Definitely wear the highest sunscreen you can find and take advantage of the umbrellas and huts if you burn easily. I do and went to Cuba this past winter and got burnt the first day even with sunscreen. Stayed under the huts after that and was fine. As well, take 1 immodium tablet a day to help any stomach nastiness. I think if you are careful with what you eat and drink and with the sun you'll be OK. Also, if you are going to reach that time of the month and are on the BC pill just take it straight through and you won't get it. My Doctor says it fine to do this and I have done it several times without any problems.

Thank you o much for the info Oceansands09, very helpful. I am also happy to hear that the honeymoon suite is worth it. My FI was hesitant to book it at first but I convinced him it'll be worth it and now I can show him I was right. Gotta love when that happens!

So is Amelie-Mellow, us Ottawa girls have good taste. Oceansands09-did you have a large wedding? We are looking at approx. 40 people and I think their packages are perfect. I heard you have to pay extra for decorations for the beach/gazebo. Did you choose and do you recall the prices for what you got?

Ha ha, I love it because I have lists on my computer, in my purse in case I see deals when I'm shopping, and in my wedding planning book. Not counting numerous spreadsheets for various bugets. From looking at these posts I've realized there are more to come such as the confirmed guest list, song lists, etc. Who ever said a destination wedding is easy?

Any other Ocean Blue/Sands brides out there? I would love to know what you are choosing for packages, extras, etc.

I can only hope to look as good as you do when I go try on dresses. Depending on what look you are going for, my initial reaction was wow, to #2 for a sexy look or if you want a more beachy look then #4. Can't wait to see what you choose.

We ar getting married March 14th during Ontario's Marchbreak. Crazy know but we have 4 school teachers coming and one of them is my MOH so we had no choice. Happy to plan with other March brides. Invitations should be going out this week, going dress shopping in 3 weeks when my BM's come to visit. Can't wait.

Definitely this site will help. Do lots of searching and reseach and you'll figure it out. Have fun!
