Do you American brides have to wait for your legal paperwork to arrive by mail? Apparently here in BC we will receive a non-legal copy of our marriage certificate and will receive the real deal in the mail. Because of this I just booked our civil ceremony for Jan 23rd also. Gotta have that paperwork on time!

Hi everyone! So I went to a dermatologist yesterday to make sure my complexion will be spotless for my wedding, and she started recommending a bunch of products. Most were with the GlyMed line, which I've heard great things about and eagerly started using. It's a little pricey but GREAT! The one product I hadn't heard much about is the Cellcosmet line. It's a really new product that involves active living cells, which when come in contact with your older cells stimulates and actually causes regrowth in areas where they've become weak. She suggested this for my undereye area (I've always had thin skin resulting in dark bags). Now, this all sounds like pretty amazing stuff, but I couldn't find many reviews on the stuff. Have any of you heard of it? Know anyone who uses it? Recommend it? It's really expensive and I'm not interested in wasting my money!!! Thanks in advance

I'm all about weight loss challenges, I'll stick around for sure . Yea the reason I suggest cutting those out is because most of my clients have little to no idea how to eat properly whatsoever! If they can concentrate on cutting those down or out, they have awesome results, no matter what. Plus they usually find stuff that actually tastes good that they'd never normally eat! I have a friend with Crohns (and I used to suffer from IBS until I started eating low glycemic last year) so I know how finicky your digestive system can get. I feel for ya! Another important trick that all weight losers should do is keep a food diary, hands down no matter what. I have diaries going back 6mos at a time (I don't always keep one and always regret when I lose track). It gives me a really good idea of what was working and what wasn't. If you are a calorie counter, the diary is your best friend!

You guys and your Wednesdays.... Here's my 2 best eating tips for losing weight, which will work HANDS DOWN. 1) Cut starchy foods out. Potatoes, breads, pastas, yadda yadda yadda. 2) Stop drinking your calories! Pops, JUICES, sugary coffees, *ahem* alcohol *ahem* etc. Do this as much as possible! By doing this you'll reset your blood glucose levels, stopping sugar and carb cravings within a couple days. Starches turn to sugar almost instantly when you digest them, same with sugar (duh). Too much sugar messes with your insulin levels, which sends the wrong messages to your brain and causes your body to tell you to eat more starches and sugars, then you crash and you never actually use the proper macronutrients (low-glycemic carbs, fats and proteins). So your body will never run smoothly like a fine-tuned machine. Don't get me wrong, carbs are THE ONLY thing that fuels your brain so you absolutely can't cut them out. You'll just get them from better sources, like dark rich veggies! If you follow history, right when the government declared fat and cholesterol the most dangerous foods (which they ARE NOT!), people started loading up the starches. At the exact same time, Type 2 diabetes rose and rose and rose and has hit this crazy level that it's at today! Think about it, when you eat pizza what's the best part? The toppings! The crust has little to no taste, minus spices. Eat the toppings instead of the pizza! Same thing with pasta. CHEESE IS OK PEOPLE! In moderation of course, don't eat a whole block at a time...!! If you're not aware, a healthy diet is 70% of your weight loss battle. Exercise is an added bonus to keep your metabolism higher! Sorry for the preachy mcpreacherness, but if you can try to cut those 2 things out, you will barely need to count calories because your body will efficiently use everything that you put into it. You won't have mindless eating problems! (Emotional eating is another issue altogether, perhaps I'll address it in another rant )

I can definitely relate to your rant Adriana! My FI's mom can't make it down there, but it's her own fault! From his own words "she's the 60 year old who's never held a job more than 3 months," how's it our fault if she can't afford to come down? Bahhh it's totally about you and the FI, everyone else can take it or leave it!

I also have no idea who's coming to the wedding, but as you may have seen above I have a bit of a different situation. I also didn't do a room block or anything because we have access to my fiance's parents' presidential membership, and he booked a few rooms through that to save our guests some big time money. If you haven't looked in to it, check out this website also: Palace Resorts Membership Rental; Moon Palace, Aventura Palace, Cozumel, Beach, Xpu-Ha, Cancun and More. They charge a $149 fee but you pay the resort directly and get VIP stay, $2211 per couple. Not bad! I never spoke with a travel agent so I'm not sure if you can do that through them also? I'm definitely doing all my legal stuff up here in Vancouver, but because we're still doing that symbolic ceremony, they're still providing an officiant. I was wondering if we could have a family member or friend do that instead of whomever they provide? It'd be more personal that way. My WC is out of town until Monday so if you guys aren't sure, I'll shoot her an email to figure that one out! Hope everyone's doing well!

Yea I'm pretty excited that my fav gym I teach aerobics at is now offering spinning classes. I used to travel all around to teach, and as much as I love teaching those classes it was taking a toll on me! Plus, this gym isn't charging any extra for these classes which is pretty rare these days. Can't wait to start with them next week! Nothing like brand new equipment...
