    Sounds like you had a wonderful time. The photographers being good sounds like a good surprise. I am getting married at a different resort and relying on family photos and possibly the resort photog if they turn out good...hope I am as lucky as you!

    Wanted to add; that choosing the resort is one of the hardest decisions because you have so many options! Once you narrow it down, the decisions get easier (at least for me they did). If you have a travel agent you might see if they could suggest a few resorts they have been to; then research them and see if you love any of them.

    Welcome to the forum and good luck. I am getting married in the Mayan Riviera next month, at Barcelo Maya. I'm sure you will find somewhere you will love. Barcelo is a large resort, which I thought would be nice so our guests don't get bored at the resort...we really shouldn't have to leave. I've also been the Iberostar (in the Mayan Rivera) that is also a beautiful resort.

    Congrats. Good luck in your search. You might find it helpful to search the places you have it narrowed down to and read reviews from previous brides, see pictures etc. I'm sure you'll love whichever you choose. You can't go wrong with a wedding on the beach with your closest friends and family.
