  1. I don't think my waist is that small guys....I am turned sideways a bit in the photo because I thought it would make me look slimmer- I guess it worked! Thanks guys:) Now if I can just look slim and svelte in my bikini in Feb! Argh that Christmas and all the food and munchies and this dummy goes and signs up for the bake exchange? Have you guys tried toblerone fudge squares? Umm....I am actually hoping FI eats the rest of those before I get home! Tricia - I am sorry you didn't like all your stuff from VS I order from them a couple times a year and find that for clothes I need to order two sizes in each article because they don't always fit the size they claim. I don't really mind excpet that right now with the exchange and shipping that can add up. Ah the price we pay to look beautiful! Sue...I got the emails....I did't have about half of what you sent me! So thank you again. I hope you feel better soon. My nephew was pretty sick the other day, but it only seemed to be bad for the one day and then he was just kinda weak the next day. Now he is good as new, so here's hoping that is all you have as well.
  2. Jo - What program did you use for your templates? Some of them I can open, but a couple just open into a word doc with little squares and other programming data instead of the actual document....the Mexico Broschure and the programs. Thanks!
  3. If you don't want one, you definitely don't have to have one. We are having one for the same reasons others have said...there are some friends and family whom we really do want to celebrate with that just cannot be there. Our is going to be pretty informal though. Cocktails, late lunch (like you would normally get at a wedding) and dancing and laughing all night long. At least that is how we hope it goes!

So today I had a HELL of a day of flying started yesterday in Wisconsin, Drove to Minnesota, flew to New York City, then to Burbank California, then to Las Vegas, then Long Beach California and finally I am in Salt Lake City Utah! While I have been flying all day you ladies have been SOOO busy on this board! Don't feel too bad - I actually do have a train. Its not super long but there is one. They were pinning it up for the bustle to but the buttons and such on, so in the picture it is just up. I love the train....it makes me feel girly:) You must be soooo sick of airports right now! I bet you are a super packer though. Is this for your real estate work?
  6. This is great! You did so much work and it all turned out beautifully:)
  7. You look beautiful! Congratulations!!!! Thank you for sharing all your amazing templates!
  8. I think you can word them whichever way you like...it is a beach wedding, so some tradition is there but not as formal, but Melidel's suggestion does sound a bit more traditional mixed with the fun of a beach wedding.
  9. Thanks Timberly! I love that you think my waist looks small How did the BD shoot go?
  10. Wow. That was incredibly mean and if it wasn't meant then it would not have been done anonymously. I am so sorry. I agree with everyone else so far though....someone is very jealous of you and your FI's happiness. Try and let it go for what it is...garbage. That being said, I would tell my FI because whether it was one of his friends or mine, it is nice to have the heads up that the person is maybe not that trustworthy. Password protect your site - if it isn't already and get ahold of the administrators. Find out who the culprit is - you don't have to confront him/her....just file it away in the vault so you know. Then delete that post and try to move one. Enjoy your wedding and all the planning. Your happiness is what is important and it sounds like the rest of the posts are very loving and supportive. Remember that and try not to let this one bring you down.

  12. Congrats Scarlett! Happy planning:) From what it sounds like on this thread everyone really likes Karla and have had really positive experiences with her.
  13. I am trying to keep mine at about $10 per person. That is letting me order personalized insulated travel mugs (not sure if using discount mugs or a local vendor yet), a cotton tote bag, hand sanitizer, lip balm with spf, gum, munchies, bandaids, pen, small notepad and a printed out sheet of common spanish phrases and a short info packet on the resort and Tulum (still haven't made this up). I also got free postcards made up by Vista print for each person's bag. The bags will actually be one per couple and then the wedding party and our parents will get a larger bag with a few more items in them. Hope this helps! There were a few threads on here that listed what people used in their OOT bag and what was not used, so I tried to pick the most common things and left th eother stuff out.

I meant to post that earlier, but I forgot as I was racing out of the house.

Thanks for all the tips with the welcome brochure. I have my almost complete, but didn't know how much about the resort I should add. I would post a link but have no idea how. Your dresses are beautiful........even the one that the tranny is wearing! haha! LMAO! The one the tranny is wearing! Good one! thanks guys..I felt better about the dress once I saw it and had it on again. i can say I am dreading the next fitting though!
  16. Teshy your dress is really pretty:) So my fitting went well. Excpet they told me 30 mins - so I planned on an hour - and at an hour and a half I told her I had to move....I thought I was going to pass out! There is tons of chiffon and it is time consuming to pin....the seamstress said they should have booked my appointment for longer - thank gosh another bride was not scheduled for the 30 min mark! So here it is so far....the first one is just the dress and the second one is the sandles I think I will wear to the reception (thanks for the pose Timberly!).
  17. Hi guys! Thanks for the thoughts on my wheels.....I was out there with sandpaper the next day - in the sunlight so it was only -32....and plugged that puppy back in. So far so good. FI thought I was nuts because every 30 seconds for about 15 mins I would run to the window. He kept saying if it was going to catch on fire again it would have done it at the beginning - I KNOW THAT BUT I HAD TO DOUBLE CHECK!!! LOL Chris - that dress....LOL.....oh if you have a wedding website you should so post that link. Then when people see you, you can ask what they thought - you were going to show them the real on? Tricia and Brooke - good luck with your locations. I know how frustrated I was waiting to hear back from Jazmin. But she actually sent me an email the other day telling me she is going to be away till Jan 5th.....so if I had any quesitons that couldn't wait to send them right away. I thought it was nice of her to let me know and not leave us just hanging. Timberly - how was the BD shoot? You are almost a mrs...just a couple more days!
  18. Susie that would have been a great line - who ate the sandwich! I can think quick on my feet most of the time, but good ones like that I usually think of after the fact. Welcome Teshy1! So last night started my truck on fire! Usually I just plug the thing in as I head into the building, but last night it was so cold and I was bringing in a couple of arm fulls of things...so I plugged in and went back to the truck. I could smell this really strong melting plastic so I look around. Yep big cloud of smoke at the front of the truck. I run back and have this ball of flame where the cords all connect! Got the fire out and the truck seems no worse for wear, but it was a little adrenaline pumping....it is so cold that the frost built up on the plug and caused it to arc. Nice. It is tooo cold when we are second in the world the other night to someplace called Silveria! I want to move somewhere warm permanently! (Just without the snakes and weird bugs!)
  19. Keira - quick question....did you bring the candles and ribbon or did the resort have that?
  20. Ooooo...I like this idea because we were wondering the same thing. They will only let us have a head table of 6...if we all face each other....which is our whole wedding party. I was worried about people feeling left out because of backs being to them! As for the annoying ones....I have a couple of them too.....one in particular who we cannot sit by herself. So we are going to put her with her immediate family and keep that a smaller table. We have odd numbers at this point, so that is what my reasoning will be if anyone asks...which I am sure they won't, but just in case.
  21. This is great...and from a fellow Edmontonian Thank you for posting the maracas link....and the prices are in CAD which is great. Congrats on being a Mrs!!!
