    wow! crazy! Well I still havent decided whether I'm doing the TTD with my actual dress or not. But if my dress is still ok, I think we're going to donate it. a. it's a good cause b. you don't have to deal with crap like that and c. it's a tax write-off so you could get your money that way. good luck!!

    the last time I talked with Cecilia (2 or 3 months ago lol) they were still using DJ Mania. We're planing on tipping her $100 to $200, do you think that's reasonable?

    we've stayed at the grand oasis in cancun before and it was a big party hotel, lots to do. they do weddings but i'm not sure how it works (they aren't known for weddings). as the other ladies have said, i wouldn't worry about the negative reviews on resorts too much (unless it mostly negative) b/c you can't please everyone. people who post reviews are usually 150% excited about their experience or 250% pissed about something, there's no "average experience" posting.

    hi and welcome. there is a thread on here about Xcaret..not married there but i've been and its BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm sure you can incorporate any type of traditions into the wedding, just do your research and always get everything in writing!! good luck
