I'd recommend etsy or ebay two places that you can always find unique items especially cake toppers!

I have seen bouquets with red roses with white calla lilies and they look beautiful. Were you looking into regular lilies or calla? Either way I think they would look great and not disappear in the BMs dresses. I like simple also and I think with a color like red you don't want to mix in to many other accent colors. Just my opinion. Good luck!

I know. Thanks guys. The thing is she had been "writing up a contract" for a while and periodically emailed me telling me to tell me it was almost done. Then about a little over a week ago she told me that it was done and her lawyer was just looking over it then 3 days ago she backed out. So I never signed a contract. I could tell that she was disorganized just by how long it was taking her to draw up the contract. I hadn't paid a deposit yet and I was just days away from booking her trip to Cancun. I am thankful that she backed out sooner rather than later. I am just bummed that I have to start the search again. I guess it was my fault trying to cut corners by hiring someone who was just beginning in destination weddings, so I could save some money. Although I would think she would be more organized because she was already an established local wedding photographer with a nice website and blog with her portfolio. I have signed up for one of the photography contests on here so I am crossing my fingers. If that doesn't work out I will just go with the resort photographer.

lol, thats weird I clicked it like two days ago and it was the really cute pink shoes, today Gucci Sneakers... strange I totally want these shoes, I just can't justify buying them. Maybe if they were fuchsia instead on light pink they'd work with my wedding.

I love the idea of doing a donation in remembrance of your father, but I agree with most of the posters. I don't think the guests would necessarily appreciate the conflicting favors either. To me it would make the donation worth less or appear that its not a cause you truly value. Maybe talk to your FI and see if he understands. The Cuban coffee is a great idea! Good luck!

Too many people deciding they either can't afford it, don't like mexico, or are too afraid to fly (FI's grandma). Not to mention my photographer backed out 2 days ago because she no longer wants to shoot destination weddings! But even with all of that, I am still excited because I will have those who are most important to me there and I will be having the wedding of my dreams.
