sunstarsmoon - i havent booked my room yet. all i have done is booked my wedding package along with where i want the dinner to be. i had to put a 10% deposit down on the package. once u do that, they will hold your date you want. i will be booking the room/flight come after xmas.

I have booked my date and everything with the resort, because we really wanted a certain date. Your not behind with the save the dates. A lot of ppl that are hopefully going to attend my wedding have children or are getting married this summer, and we just wanted to give them more a less a heads up about it. allowing them enough time to save and plan themselves. we just stated on our save the dates that a formal invite would follow. As for booking flights ect. we have talk to a TA and found out what days our flights would fly out, more than likely will have a flight no problem. In the save the dates we attatched a letter from my FI and I explaing the costs and gave them a range price. To allow them to budget. I think sending out your save the dates is really up to you and when u think a enough time for your guests is.......just to give them a heads up.

peterpanpixiedust - thats a really cute idea. very creative so i have confirmed and book my date July 8th 2011 @ gran bahia punta cana, booked our ceramony time 1pm at the gazebo, and have also booked the private dinner at the garden grill. things are really going strong here. I LOVE IT!!!!

Hey ladies, does anyone have any pics or suggestions on which Gazebo to get married @ in the resort? I currently have 2 options, the white roofed concrete one, but there is another one, more of an open roof garden looking one. i have been trying to find pics of the 2nd to compare, but cant seem too. My FI is leaning towards the 2nd one, but i just dont know the location of it in the resort, as i know exactly which one the 1st is and where. thanks!

i know this doesnt have to do with the menu of the bahia...but i have confirmed my date with them, sent in my deposit for the wedding package....now the info they sent me is stating i have to be @ the resort 3 days before the wedding.....but when i go to the DR governament sites for requirements to get married out there, it doesnt say anywhere about having to be there x amount of days before.....now if i get married on a friday, what day do i need to be there on? is arrival on a wed ok? or does it have to be a tues? sandy - here is my contact i have for a wc [email protected]

UGH is right! I have currently sent out my save the dates with a short little letter explaining the costs and what not. We're having our wedding July 8 2011, gran bahia principe punta cana. Pricing for ours seems to be about the same every year. not to worried. between 1300 and 1500.

Hey everyone! My FI and I are just about to book our date with the resort. We have to put down a 10% deposit to hold our date.....no biggie. I am trying to find out thou, if we can have a reception. Everywhere i have looked in the wedding packages, all they offer is a private dinner. and by a reception i mean, a time where we can dance, have a time to do speaches ect. We are having our wedding at Gran Bahia Principe. in Punta Cana. So if anyone knows any info, pls pls let me know! thanks a bunch!

hi there! welcome! i have been thru the majestic, and its an amazing resort!!!! i have vactioned at the gran bahia principe, and thats where i am getting married. when we vactioned to punta cana, our friends were staying at the majestic, located right beside our resort. so we spent a few afternoons over there. its a great place. very modern!

i am currently going to book my date with the resort this weekend....put my deposit down for the wedding package to hold my date.....cross your fringers that my date hasnt been taken...... i've also decided on my bridesmaid colours and maid of honor...... royal blue for the bridesmaids and a fusica pink for my maid of honor......
