We need a latin dance song... Help
diamondpooch replied to *Kerin28*'s topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
"Go Get It" by Sepalot has got an awesome latin dancing beat, but the words are in English. Listen to the whole song. The chorus is awesome. -
sorry that you are dealing with this right now. First question, why does he still have the stub? Seems weird. I'm a firm believer in the idea that women truly wouldn't be jealous and worried if their husbands didn't give them a reason to be. End of story. When I look back on old relationships and think of what was different btw men I was jealous of and men that I wasn't jealous of, the only difference is that the non-jealous relationship had a man in it that NEVER gave me reasons or did anything to lead me to believe I had something to worry about. Besides, who collects ticket stubs?!!!!!

Sabrina I am bringing my own centerpieces. I'm doing the Strawberry Passion as well, and the only "included" centerpieces I know of are the fruit and candle ones which I didn't really like in the pictures I've seen. So, instead of spending a bunch of money on real flower centerpieces that are going to last four hours, I decided to make and bring down my own centerpieces. I ordered fabric from ebay (navy and white damask pattern ) and I'm making runners with a navy border on top of the provided white table cloth. I'm using 20" tall square vases filled with lemons with small bloomed yellow flowers sticking out of the top. Two per table....one on each end. In between I'm alternating a stand alone lemon with a square candle holder with a candle inside. I'm just bringing them down in an extra suitcase. I don't want to chance shipping them down and getting them confiscated by customs. The end product will SORT OF look like this: just with the navy underneath. Oh, also I will have navy chair bows.

I'm not having one. They expected another 12 dollars a person per hour for drinks we already get for free because it's all inclusive. No way am I paying that. My guests can go to the lobby bar and socialize.

In the pics they look sort of royal blue, but they're almost navy in person. But they're still gorgeous & I think they'll be wearable, at least for part of the night! What size did you order? A 9 I'm glad to hear they are more navy, as I need a navy shoe as opposed to royal blue. So, if I wear an 8 would you recommend me find an 8 1/2 -
Has anyone used Shavon's Wedding Silks?

Right as I was about to submit a second and third quote form, her email came through containing the quote. So funny. It took a little over a week, which is fine! -

Ok well I am going to submit more quote forms cuz I really want to use her for the wedding. Thanks. -
My best friend and one of my BM's got married in St. Croix at a resort this yr. It's beautiful! She rented out a local, small restaurant in the area for her reception dinner. It was awesome!

diamondpooch replied to ~*Lisa*~'s topic in Just venting or funnies
It looks like we all have the same issues with our men!!! I guess this means it's just MEN and no matter how much we wish/try to make them different it's never gonna happen! We end up stressed and for what The sooner we learn men will be men, the better! -

I have booked and confirmed the cermony location which will be on the beach. My colors are pool and brown, I wanted yellow flowers. How are you bringing your own centerpieces? Are you shipping? I heard customs can be a pain when bringing things? Please email me any pics you may have ... I love looking at bridal pics and ideas. my email is [email protected] Thank you I am going to bring down the centerpieces in suitcases. Even if I pay $25 per suitcase to get them down there it's still cheaper than shipping it down there I would assume, plus I have to bring it all back, so why wouldn't I just put it in suitcases??!! Ya, customs can be a pain, but I've heard that if you bring receipts and put a note in your suitcases that it's for your wedding, they are usually cool about it. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed! I mentioned the makeup thing to my friend, but she said she wants to be totally focused on me that day! I wonder if Adrian could do you both that day though? I do know the following is taken for our day: Mariachi Grill, Palmeras Grill, French restaurant. I think the poolside is still available and possibly some other grills as well. I'd ask your WC about it.

If you are using the resort are you making appts soon since there will be 3 bridal parties there maybe more that day? What are your colors? LOL- I have so many questions! sorry ! One more question sorry- Do you have pics of flowers or centerpieces avaliable from Barcelo. Thanks for the help Nichole I found Mannia on this website. I read the thread about him and heard nothing but good things. I visited his website and contacted him for a quote. He got back to me right away. You should visit the site because they have several DJ's that work for Mannia, so they could still do yours as well! His ad is always 2nd from the top on the right sidebar of this forum. I have both my ceremony and reception location confirmed. You will be allowed to confirm both once your wedding date is confirmed (WC has your travel itinerary from your travel agent). My MOH is a hairstylist so she will help with my hair and one of my friends is a MAC makeup artist so she will be doing my makeup. The resort offers it at the spa. If you and MOBride09 really wanted to, I'm sure I could ask my friend if she would be interested in being hired to do your makeup! She's awesome. I'm sure for a fee she would do it. My nails I will probably have done at the spa. My colors are Navy Blue, Yellow, and white. I'm bringing my own centerpieces and flowers but the resort has a HUGE book of flowers from you to choose from and you can mix and match whatever. Flowers is something you can pick out the day you arrive during your meeting with your WC, so don't stress over it now. Quote: Originally Posted by vlynnw Is the hourly charge for electricity the only thing the Barcelo charges for using an outside DJ, since they have their no outside vendors policy, or do you also have to have them stay at the resort? Nope, it's the only fee. Like I said you would be much smarter to see if your DJ has an electricity generator for rent. It's cheaper.

May 2010 Brides!

May 29 at Barcelo Palace! Seems like May is a popular month! Even though time is flying, it still seems like it's too far away! I'm just glad the holidays are going to make time go fast -

So I know there are a couple brides on this forum that have the same date, I am just wondering what times your ceremonies are ? Also If anyone knows? Do you have to use a D.J. the Barcelo provides or can you bring an outside one? Thank you Nichole Hello! I am one of them! MOBride is another! My ceremony is at 2 and hers is at 4! How awesome is that going to be!!! I hired an outside DJ (DJ Mannia). You can bring in an outside one, but they charge you $50 an hour for electricity. My DJ gave me the option that I could rent a generator from him for $80 for the full time, so that's what i did. Maybe your DJ could offer the same thing
