  1. I probably missed the boat on these but I'll take them!
  2. Great find! And thanks for the discount code. I like the jute shopper bags. Anyone interested in going in on an order to save money? I only need 25.
  3. Nsblum, I think the postcard Thank You note is a great idea. We might do the same. Our postcard designer offered the option of clear or kraft paper envelopes for the postcards as well. I decided to send them without envelopes and have been getting them back no problem. We ordered them from Beyond Design on etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/beyonddesign?ref=seller_info She was great to work, well priced with and can really do anything you'd like.
  4. We rented the whole hotel so I'll be putting a bag in each room. We have a few guests that are staying at other locations and I plan to give them the bags at our welcome party.
  5. Thank you for the pictures Playa! Your fans look beautfiul and I don't think the size difference is really noticable at all.
  6. We ordered our RSVP cards from a seller on etsy.com. It was originally for a STD but we changed it to use as RSVP cards. I think the postcard RSVP option is great because it saves money on postage and all of our guests have been telling me how much they like them! Â
  7. I attended 3 destination weddings and the most important thing I learned was that I didn't want to get married at a hotel that was on a public beach. I didn't like that random people on the beach stood around and watched the weddings, made noise and let their children run thru the ceremony set up!
  8. There are mixed reviews on the OT website. Some people seem fine with their orders and others say there was a large difference in size and color of some of the fans. I think I'm going to go for it anyway.
  9. Same here. I'd be interested if you could do better on the price!
  10. Hi Playa, Â I can't really tell from the picture. Do the sizes vary a lot? I saw that mentioned on their website but nervous about there being large size differences. I've seen other sites that guarantee they are the same size but they are more expensive.
  11. Maybe try the MTA store. They have a lot of subway/nyc themed items. Â http://www.transitmuseumstore.com/ Â Could also go down to Canal street or any other touristy area and see what they have in the gift shops.
  12. Those are amazing! I'd also suggest doing a search on etsy.com. I've seen several people selling ediable sugar shells, starfish, etc.
  13. All white with natural accents...burlap and kraft paper brown
  14. I'm in love with the idea of these hot chocolate spoons as favors.
  15. We are having an "wedding celebration" brunch a few weeks before our wedding. We have a private room at a restaurant and will serve 3 courses, unlimited mimosas and a bloody mary bar. I found doing a brunch was a lot less expensive than a dinner or cocktail party.
  16. Do any of you ladies have a recommendation for a good anti-frizz product? Our wedding is in Nov and I plan on wearing my hair all down and curly. I'm worried about the humidity as well!
  17. Do you need to go with that specific florist? I'd suggest getting some competing quotes from other vendors.
  18. If you want to go really casual, there is a great jerk restaurant called 3 Dives. It's not on the beach but has a large outside seating area and a great view from the cliffs. We are actually having a welcome "bbq" at one of the villas at our resort and catering all the food from 3 Dives. Â 3 Dives link: http://www.maherconsulting.com/3dives/
  19. Our wedding is on the cliffs in Negril and we are planning to have a rehearsal dinner on the beach. We are having it at the Seawind Resort (http://www.seawindresortjamaica.com/e-restaurant.htm) . They are setting up tables and a dinner buffet on the beach. We are also having a reggae band and bonfire. I think its a great way for guests to see the beach because the rest of our wedding events will be on the cliffs. My FMIL is paying for the dinner so I can't tell you the specific price but she said they were very reasonably priced. She is also arranging to have a local company transport all our guests to and from the dinner and I think she negotiated that to around $5 per person.
  20. We are getting flowers from Floral Fantasy and I noticed they have a gift bag section on their website. It's definitely pricier than going to a local store to pick up items but it sounds like they can get anything that you want to add in an OOT bag. It is also very convenient to have the items delivered directly to your resort. I think I'm ordering mini bottles of rum and blue mountain coffee from Floral Fantasy ($12 for both) since I need 30-35 of each and don't want to worry about the Hi Lo being out of stock. http://www.floralfantasiesjamaica.com/giftbaskets.htm
  21. Dazzliing4, I'd also like to know how much Tai charged for the chivari chairs?
  22. I never thought to ask about day passes but I'm almost positive they are only at all inclusive resorts so they don't loose money on people coming in and eating and drinking without paying.
  23. I must agree about Ari. She was great when I spoke to her and I would totally suggest her to any bride that needs more communication and involvement than what the resort coordinators provide.
  24. I decided against VSM for the same reason - not having an onsite coordinator. Catcha is an excellent choice. We are suggesting the resort as an overflow option for guests once Tensing is sold out.
