  1. Yes; she's the resort's recommendation, so we may just try to find something when we get there.
  2. I also wish our families could help more with the wedding - FMIL keeps asking what she could do to help; cut a d*mn check! In accordance, I sometrimes resent our friends who's parents throw them lavish weddings. Â I'm also a constant worrier/bottler. Â I almost revoked the BM status of all of my BMs more than once during this engagement. Â My FSIL is a self-absorbed, immature PITA who expects everyone and everything to work for her....and FI's family does. Â Great therapy!!!! Â
  3. We're doing the exact same bridesmaid dresses! Great minds think alike, lol!
  4. Never wait until 2 months before your wedding to start working with your florist; even if it's recommended... Now that I'm a month out I received a quote for a $2000 definitely not what I'm looking to spend. I reminded her that my budget is about half that, so she keeps pushing "red ginger and orange tropicals." after a google search I'm not too big a fan of the gingers (although I don't know what they'd look like in a bouquet) and I'm still not sure what she's referring to as tropicals. On top of this are colors are orange, yet she keeps pushing red and purple... Anyway, what I'd really like to know is what type of flowers are you using and any pictures would be great? Any links or info to indigenous JA flowers would be great so I can chop this bill! Thanks!
  5. LOL! I didn't even think about one glass feeling "sad," but I think you're right. I'm going to scoop these up. Thanks guys!
  6. I know there's a lot of posts on gifts, but I had a "unique" epiphany and am curious to get some feedback. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what to get my special ladies. I want to get them something nice but we're on a budget and we are already covering their all-inclusive fees for the three days they'll be there (pluss the husband of the married one), basically doubling our wedding bill. I found champagne flutes at Tiffany's for $15 and was thinking about giving them to each girl with a letter about the many things we'll be celebrating together as we continue our lives together. You're all full of great ideas; what do you ladies think? Should I give one or two? Would this be something you'd like to receive or would it seem random? Thanks!
  7. Hey all! We're getting married at Coyaba Beach Resort in Montego Bay and we've decided to resort hop for our honeymoon as many of our family members have chosen to stay later. Has anyone ever stayed at Breezes Negril or Breezes Runaway Bay? We've been eyeballing these two and the call center seems really only interested in booking. Any other recommendations near MoBay? I think we've started to go cross-eyed during our search.
  8. I'm going to be a Coyabab bride in Sept. and a lot of your reviews were what helped us solidify our decision. Did any of you stay with Coyaba for your honeymoon? For those who didn't where'd you go? We're about to book our trip and we're trying to determine if we're going to stay at Coyaba or venture elsewhere on the island. A lot of our family and friends plan on staying for awhile, so we may escape for a couple of alone time days.
