If this was a contest, I think I'd win the first place. My fiance and I are together since HS so that is about 12yrs, finally taking the plunge after 4yrs of being engaged. -

Congratulations and welcome. As I was looking at destinations I was also thinking the same thing. I feel that Mexico has many things to offer while being reasonable for my family and friends. I also looked at DR and Jamaica as possible locations since they have a vast amount of all inclusive resorts as well. Good luck on your seach and happy planning.

My FI and I are the same height. I have a dilemna because I love wearing heels! I feel like I look more slimmer. lol! He doesn't have a problem but I rather look short and stocky than be taller in pictures.

I think a long table option would work out well. You and your husband can sit in the middle so you can have full view and interact with everyone. This way everyone could interact with eachother. I feel it would be more intimate and engaging having everyone together. -

I agree with the other say get the dress you love. Have you triend looking if I could find the dress online? I found that it's a great bargaining tool if you want to see if the wedding dress shop could do it for less or at least match it. -

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm not familiar with cruise ship pricing however, I know that if you are planning just a ceremony that I see resorts offering that service for that price. I believe most people would know they'd have to pay for their way. If you are still in doubt, send out invites with a quote per person, they will definitely get the picture then.

Congratulations on your engagement. I went to Jamaica over the Labor Day holiday and it was a beautiful island with many friendly people. I stayed in the Riu Palace in Negril which was really nice. Perhaps try Sandals resorts, they are the most abundant resort in Jamaica. We also passed by another resort called Grand Pallidium which was stunning from the outside.

I agree with everyone that says it depends on the crowd. As for me, I attended a wedding where the bestman, the groom's brother was totally trashed and got so off topic that everyone who was sober were nodding their heads in shame. In the end for mumbled his last few sentences and yelled don't mess with **** brothers.....lol! I bet they couldn't wait for that inspiring speech on tape.
