They are also water resistant - which alot of people said on here worked better. Yippee!!! Congratulations on finding THE bag!!!

My OOT bag splurge *yikes*

May I ask who did your monogram? I really like it! Thank you I used Sarah form Sproullie Designs - Home for my monograms - she did a few different ones for me and they all came out adorable. And the pricing is definitely reasonable as well. Moon Dance Villas was actually one of my first choices for our DW but they didn't have any availability on my date So if you're there on 5/5/10 and you see another bride getting married, you know that she stole my spot! lol p.s. sorry for temporarily going off topic -
You've definitely come to the right place - there is just a TON of information on this site!! Welcome and Happy Planning!!

Congratulations and to the forum!! Beaches Turks and Caicos was my first choice for our DW but our guests complained about no non-stop flights and about the cost being higher than other Beaches resorts; so we ended up caving in and choosing Beaches Negril. I guess it just gives us an excuse to go to T&C at a later date Good luck with your planning!!

I just knew that if I waited too long, they'd probably be sold out and then I'd be kicking myself. I ordered 15 of them since I really don't think we'll have more than 30 people (keeping my fibgers crossed now). Just like you said, if I don't use them all I can always try to sell them. Thanks again so much for sharing!! Where in Negril are you having your DW? -
I just saw another thread with a link to this bag and I went ahead and splurged!! Definitely more expensive but I think our guests will definitely use this bag again, so it's worth it to me - The Oprah Store - Tote, Logo, Beach, Resort, Summer, Pool, Swimsuit And here's a link to the other thread as well - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t48165

My OOT bag splurge *yikes*
hockeymom97 replied to negrilbridetoo's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
omg these bags are super cute and way nicer than the ones that I've been looking at previously. Our splurge was going to be the insulated travel mugs we were including in the OOT bags, but I think I may need to splurge on these totes as well! I really think these would be used again even after the DW My only issue is I don't have a final count on my guest list yet Looks like I'm going to have to make a wild guess, lol. Thanks for sharing! -
Hi Sue - Congratulations and to the forum!!

Hi Islandbride - no, I have not ordered anything yet because there wasn't any real interest in a group order, so I'm still deciding what to do. To place an order for these bags with the imprint design, the minimum order is 100, and I only need about 15 to 20. I also asked the company if they would sell them to me with no logo at all and they will, with a minimum order of 25. So I may end up going that route. HOWEVER, I did another search on their site to see if I could find anything with a smaller minimum order and I'm also now considering this one as well - Tahitian Tote in tahitian (Item No. 106243) from only $3.39 ready to be imprinted by 4imprint Promotional Products I had a sample shipped to me and the pink is actually a hot pink/fuschia, not a lighter pink like it shows online. The bag is really roomy and definitely a nicer quality than the first one (although I'm still considering the first one just because I like the colors). It's a decent weight canvas and it's lined inside - also has a small inside pocket and an attached key ring to hook your keys on. This bag is slightly more expensive, but only has a minimum order of 25. So right now I'm debating between the 2 bags and could go either way. The first bag is less expensive, is much lighter so wouldn't take up much space in a suitcase, and because of the material it's made of, I think it would dry quickly if it gets wet (by the pool/beach). But I can only get it imprinted if I order 100. The second bag is really cute, and more substantial, butis a little bulky and will take up a lot more space in a suitcase. Minimum order is only 25 so I could get it imprinted, but it's also a more expensive bag. If anyone is interested in either bag, the company will send you a sample at no cost.

I am a self proclaimed queen of retail, and have gotten many a bargain by calling around to find what I want! I actually just came back from Bloomingdale's myself, and found my wedding shoes there! The were full price, but I happened to see that Macy's had them on clearance, so I got them to match the $33 price! That's kind of the same advice my mom gave me - and as a worse case scenario I could probably have the dress custom made since it's really not anything too complex. But as it stands right now, they do have a size 12 at a Bloomingdale's about a half hour away from me - I think I may go buy it and it will be my motivation to lose some weight before the wedding. lol. Thanks again for helping me find it!!!

Heck, if you waited 12 years, another year won't kill you, right? As if I weren't addicted to BDW and facebook already - now I just have one more reason to be on here, lol.

Maybe I can find it somewhere else or even order it, now that I at least know the name. It's at least a start, now that I have a style/name. And I have to say I love the price as well, lol. omg, what an amazing story! I just read the whole things and I'll admit that my eyes were watering up by the end I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and it really seems like you two are destined to be together. I hope you both have a fabulous time while she is visiting and that everything works out just the way you want it! I'm definitely sending good vibes your way --- this is contingent of course on your willingness to post photos of the two of you together from the visit - J/K. The good vibes will be coming your way regardless, but I'm sure everyone here would still love to see pics of how happy the 2 of you look

Beaches Negril Brides - Post here!!

Its been working very well. You're right - that was one of the first things I asked Amber. If she was going to be my actual WC at the resort or if I was going to be working with someone else; and that's when she told me she was in Miami and there are 2 other WC's actually at the resort and that's who I would work with for the actual wedding. That is a good idea about scheduling a specific time to talk. I'm still a little further from my date so I'm not too worried about the details just yet, so I'm ok waiting a few days for her to respond to my emails. -

I am looking for the dress on the bride in dinogomez.com's signature - does anyone recognize this dress/know the name and/or designer? It's one shoulder, chiffon, with an empire waist. I found a Maggie that is close, but not quite the same. I really want to figure out the designer of this dress so I can try it on. Who knows, it may look hideous on me, lol, but I at least have to see. I am just in love with this dress! I believe she's also the first bride in the photo section of his website - Photo - Dino Gomez Photography, Destination Weddings, Wedding Photographers. Dino was nice enough to give me an email address for the bride, but she hasn't responded as of yet, so I'm really hoping one of you ladies recognize this one?

I'd love to participate, but I unfortunately don't have time to host it. Hopefully someone has time??
-
Kelly - I don't know anyone who's had that experience, but that's great that you'll be able to stop taking the meds, and hopefully that will help you with your weight loss as well And you have a little bit of time before your wedding, so hopefully this will help you feel more like yourself as well - definitely wishing good things for you

something weird happened with the resort...(long)

Congrats on getting the time slot you wanted!! I think the timing will work out perfect with just enough time in between the ceremony and dinner to allow time for pictures to be taken and cocktails - you should be able to get some great sunset pics too!
