  1. OH! That sounds great! Hopefully Stacie will pop in here soon and give us some contact info!
  2. Hi Melissa! Were the fire dancers really good? I watched a few you tube videos of Fire Dancers in Jamaica and wasn't impressed by what I saw...
  3. Hahaha Running Bride... I'm not sure how to make the photos smaller - it depends on how you posted them, but the dress looks awesome and so do you!! Can't wait to see it fitted!
  4. Ya, I think you're right. Just have to get off my butt and do it. Problem is I spent so much time doing my STDs, they were really nice, and everyone keeps referring to them as my invites...lol, maybe went overboard? So now I feel the invites have to be even nicer... and I'd much rather be DIYing something else LOL. I think I'm just going to make it my project for this long weekend coming. Just get it done!!
  5. Hi ladies! Just found this thread and happy I did I am getting married December 10 (Were date twins Jaimeburns!) at the Iberostar Rose Hall in Jamaica. I am slowly but surely knocking out items on the to do list. One that keeps hanging around is my invitations. I sent out save the dates with a pre-rsvp card AGES ago and most people have already booked the trip or replied that they can't come... so I feel that sending invites at this point is kinda useless... but, I did say on the STD 'formal invitation to follow' AND its a way to send out all the travel info in 'hard copy' to everyone... What do you ladies think?
  6. Hey Ladies! So you have all convinced me! I've have just ordered my TTD dress from Gianinar! Now, finger's crossed that I don't get raped on brokerage fees in the shipping to Canada! LOL Here is the photo of the dress, the design is by Kirstie Kelly from her Disney Bridal line - the Ariel style! Perfect for the beach! We'll see how they do with it!
  7. Great Job Girly!!! For all your indecisiveness, you really pulled it all together! Congrats babes!
  8. Wow! this sounds so exciting! and the mock-ups look so pretty & clean. I'm a little sad we wont have our funny lil emoticons anymore, but I'll get used to it! Thanks so much Tammy and all the Mods for working so hard - I would be completely lost without this site!

I might just go all orchids or something local to keep costs down, though I think flowers do have a big impact on the overall look so I do want them just right I did ALOT of research on flowers in Jamaica and I still havent completely nailed down a florist but I think I am going with Boulevard Florist out of Negril. They are the supplier for the Couples Swept Away in Negril, and while I can't find anyone on BDW that has used them for more than their standard bouquet, they were well recommended by a wedding planner in Negril I spoke to. Their quote was the best I received. Actually all of the quotes I got from the florists in Jamaica were WILDLY different, some were like triple what she quoted me. I've never recieved quotes from florists before but... WOW! Only the Dendrobium orchids are local to Jamaica. All others are imported. I found a flower supplier on facebook who has her own greenhouses in Jamaica and had photos of some of the locally grown flowers and imports. Check here :http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...a=8&ajaxpipe=1 Amazingly, even she was more expensive than Boulevard, but I think she's smaller and probably pays more for the imports I asked about. Good luck!
  10. Congratulations Imuze!! You look stunning in your siggy pic Hope you feel better soon - can't wait to see your review!! Hi Maura, There was one girl... her user name was Sparkles-something who was married at the grand & did a review/planning thread in the planning threads section. But yes, you can get alot of ideas from us Suites/Beach gals too Iberostar Rose Hall Suites/Beach do use Flower Studio too. Picking flowers over the internet IS really hard. I would suggest choosing one whom other brides have used happily. There is a thread about the florists in Jamaica. Get some quotes for what you want, then you can do a keyword search in the wedding reviews using the florists names to see some examples of their work besides what they have on their site. Good luck!
