  1. I pretty much wear mine all the time, except for when I get in the shower (or when I have to take it off for work -- my 2nd job is at a deli and nothing but a plain wedding band is permitted). I think it's whatever your preference is -- I'm sure your FI will understand if he sees that you've taken it off because you're afraid of damaging/losing it! Maybe look into getting a ring-guard, if you're worried about it being too lose and falling off...that just might do the trick to put your mind at ease!
  2. OH, WOW -- you look just magnificent!! Looks like all of your patience during the alterations process paid off in spades....you're going to take his breath away for sure!

Oh, wow Kelly -- want ANOTHER crazy coincidence? My wedding is ALSO on May 14, 2010 (@ SGOR in Jamaica!) And, CONGRATS on buying a house, too
  4. Congratulations again, Nadine -- and WHAT a beautiful bride you made! Excellent, thoroughly detailed review...and I'll echo the other girls by saying how rude were those onlookers, right?!? OMG! I couldn't believe HOW MANY of them there were standing in the pic behind your bridesmaids! Well, at least you'll always have a funny story to tell!

I had an appointment at Bridal Reflections in NYC and he happened to have a trunk show there that weekend. I got to meet him, he was really nice and very honest which I really appreciated. I can't wait for it to come in!! Um.....the word "STUNNING" comes to mind! WOWZA -- you look phenomenal and the dress is just divine! And I am jealous that you got to meet David Tutera, too (but I am glad to hear that he is just as nice in reality as he seems on My Fair Wedding, as I am a dedicated watcher and total fan of his work)!!! I think you hit it out of the park with your goregous gown!
  6. I know this is off topic, but Girasole and Michelle -- where in Pennsylvania do you live?!? YORK?! I live in Dallastown, just a few miles outside of York City! It's a small world after all.....

We arent going with MS packages either. Beautiful beginnings and the free reception and then out to eat with everyone coming... which is 21 people. We are really excited. Hope you are too! talk soon! -Meag Tucks OMG, MEAGAN!!!! Your wedding is sooooo soon -- I couldn't be more excited for you and I'm psyched it's your turn to become a Mrs.!! And speaking of Beaches Turks and Caicos, the resort looks just phenomenal, so ALL of your Beaches Brides-to-be have made a fantastic decision! Only reason I picked Sandals is because we were hoping to keep our celebration adult-only -- otherwise, it would have been Beaches T & C all the way!
  8. I'm with Becks.....a pre-travel brochure with a suggested packing list and some adorable-yet-super-useful luggage tags are a fantastic way to give your guests a preview of all the fun that lies ahead, and show them that you are a bride-to-be that's got it together! Also, it's a great way to make yourself available if anyone has any minor last minute questions or concerns, so be sure to include the best way (cell number, email address, etc.) for everyone to reach you! And, for your conveniece, here is the link to an AWESOME Packing List compiled BDW member, Amarillis -- this is the one I am planning on sending, with a few minor changes: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ng-list-34607/
  9. Yea, LISA -- now you're a Mrs. and I'm sure you were one beautiful bride!! CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding, and I'm sure you looked fab in your custom gown (probably brought a tear to your new DH's eye, too!!) Looking forward to PICS GALORE!!
  10. They look FABULOUS, and CONGRATULATIONS on your recent December 09 wedding! Must have been nice to ring in the New Year as a Newlywed! And I am sure all of your guests just loved you for all of the thought and planning that went into your awesome OOT bags! One Question: the clear cellophane bags that you used to make the "kits"....where did you find them, and did the paper label/closure come with them (and you pesonalized them from there)? Did you get them from Paper Source, as well? Any insight would be awesome!
  11. Awesome, Jennifer! Thanks for the head's up....and for being so great about keeping all of the Sandals/Beaches brides-to-be up to date on changes and developments!
  12. OMG, Melissa -- super Rock' N Roll, indeed! ADORE THE PAINT IDEA....almost too cool for words! Yep, it's decided -- you're my vote for the resident BDW "rocknrolla" bride!
  13. YEA!!!! Congratulations to both of these wonderful ladies! And a special shout out to Lisa, the B2B MoTM....just in the nick of time, as her Big Day is only 2 days away!!
  14. They're awesome.....and you look fantastic!!! And I especially love the cookbook idea -- so "naughty housewife" -- ADORABLE and super CREATIVE! Your hubby-to-be is gonna want some home cooking all the time!
  15. I know this thread is crazy-old, but I wanted to chime in and post what we're doing, and see if anyone else had anything new to add (for those who are trying to decide)! Anyway, John and I will be at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Ocho Rios, Jamaica with our guests from May 11 - May 15 (our wedding is on 5/14), and then the day after we get married, some guests are staying on, some are going home, and WE are going to a different Sandals Resort for a 3-day mini-moon just the two of us. We'll be at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay from May 15 - 18 for a little R & R after the big event, and it will probably the first time of the week we can actually have a drink and chill on a chaise lounge on the beach and just enjoy spending time with each other -- can't wait!
  16. Oh, Lisa...just gorgeous! And if you have a checklist of things you hope for on your wedding day (which I am sure you do) you should go ahead and check off the "LOOK BREATHTAKING IN THE DRESS" box, because you and your wonderful aunt NAILED IT!! Your gown couldn't be any more perfect... Your glow radiates through your photos already -- I can only imagine how phenomenal you will look on THE WEDDING DAY! Congratulations, sweetie; you're a stunner!

  18. CONGRATULATIONS, MISS KARLA!!! I just checked weather.com, and it looks like you're in for a beautiful, warm Wedding day in gorgeous Negril!!! Hoping everything else turns out as beautifully for you and your wonderful groom throughout this magical day -- can't wait to hear all the details when you return! Happy New Year's Eve/WEDDING DAY to you; I'm sure you'll ring in the New Year 2010 in fabulous NEWLYWED STYLE!!!
  19. CONGRATULATIONS, Nadine, and I hope you are already enjoying newlywed-Mrs.-BLISS! I'm sure you were a stunning bride....looking forward to details and PICS galore when you return!
  20. CONGRATULATIONS -- not only is it beautiful already (even before alterations), you got it for an INCREDBILE PRICE!! WOW on all accounts!
  21. It's utterly FABULOUS.....and truly looks like it was made just for you!!! And you know what? I can still see underlying shades of your stylist-background coming through in the details -- it's incredible how perfect this dress really IS for you! CONGRATS; you look magnificent!
  22. Thanks, girls! Felt really good to send out the Save the Date cards already now that we know where it's gonna be for sure!
  23. RIGHT ON, LADIES!! You know, it's morons like Tiger (and his twisted, selfish mentality) that have the divorce rate in the US up over 50% -- people that cheat must think marriage is a joke!! I wonder if he ever took his vows seriously at all or if he just wanted to paint a picture of the "perfect American family" to get even MORE outlandish endorsement deals....it's a damn shame!
  24. Ok, so this is really sort of after the fact, but...... IS ANYONE ELSE SICK TO DEATH OF THIS TIGER WOODS-CHEATING, LYING, JERK-OF-THE-YEAR DRAMA?!?! Arrrrrrgh! I feel terrible for his beautiful wife, Elin, the children, and the rest of his family to tell you the truth, and I'd love to just once turn on an entertainment news show without the headline story being this philandering putz! Haven't they suffered enough embarassment without another one of his flavor o' the week/stripper mistresses coming forward for her pathetically earned 15 minutes of fame?!?! I say, so what if he's a world-class athlete -- he's also a world class A-hole, and this nonsense has got to stop! Can anyone image how mortifiying it is for a wife (celebrity or not) to find out that her husband has cheated (UNPROTECTED!) with over a dozen women, and then the whole world gets to know about it? I truly can't imagine, and I say she should get more than the $300 million I've heard she's going to get in the divorce. So, take a hike, Tiger Woods, and be sure to take your ho-train with you! Hopefully the media will realize that it's time to let your family begin to heal!
  25. Lisa, I can see why you and your family are upset....if I am being 100% honest here, I'd have to say that it would sort of bother me, too! I will have been planning and researching for close to a year and a half by the time we finally go to our DW in Jamaica in May, and although I wouldn't do ANYTHING to make my guests uncomfortable, I would also hope that I could be the one to sort of "show everyone the ropes" like Morgan said! Maybe I'm childish for saying this, but even though they mean well, I would still feel irritated that they might be trying to tell ME about something I should, as the bride, know better than them! And, after seeing some of my family members at Christmas that will be going, I think a few of the them may indeed be arriving a few days before us (which is fine because I don't think they're they type to step on my toes -- frankly, I think they just want to drink and relax on the beach!) but I FEEL WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM, SISTER!! Just tell your Mom and FI to sort of play it by ear....maybe once your friends actually see you when they show up, they will sort of back down, now that the BRIDE AND GROOM have arrived!!! BEST WISHES, LOVE and I hope they can realize that this trip is more than just a vacation to you -- it's your wedding, and since they spent money to be there to share this with you, the LAST THING they should want to do is try to upstage you or make your and your FI tense!
