  1. Welcome and Congrats from a fellow NYer. To narrow down your choices you should make a list of things that you would like for your wedding( sounds like you have a sense of that already) and get in touch with a travel agent who can help to make suggestions. Once you decide on a place it get's easier. This site will help you with your planning. Good Luck!!
  2. Congrats on you recent wedding!! The photos turned out really nice, who would ever know it was the photog's first time shooting a DW?
  3. Interesting article... wedding photos are an investment. When it's all said and done it's the one thing you look back on for many many years to come.
  4. so much to think about. Initially I didn't want to do OOT bags but I think I'll do something small. As far as favors... maybe you can do something unique to Jamaica. A small bottle of rum/rum punch tied with a favor tag... jamaican blue mountain coffee... small craft. Other options for general DW... passport holders, luggage tags, beach picture frames. Just don't drive your self crazy... keep it simple.
  5. Amazing review!! I'm not getting married in Jamaica but your post will be so helpful for those who plan to marry there. Thanks so much for sharing your pictures. You were a blushing bride- you looked beautiful. Everything looks wonderful... everyone looked like they had a blast...who would have ever thought the location was switched at the last minute. Congratulations to you!!

  8. Congrats on your recent wedding. I'm glad that you were able to pull it off in Jamaica.
  9. Congrats and Welcome! Best wishes on your upcoming wedding!!!!
  10. it may be hard to find a steel drum player in Mexico. You'll find mariachi bands there.
  11. another decision that I have to make too. It won't be easy walking in heels even on a runner but like scrouse said there are brides who stick with the heels. If you wear the heels definately bring a pair of low/dancing shoes with you.
  12. We plan to have a steel drum player for an hour at the ceremony and cocktail hour. I think it's a great idea... you'll feel the island vibe.
  13. I agree with Christi...have you ever thought about getting a pair of those dyebable shoes??
  14. Instead of dyeing or bleaching your hair maybe you can try a hair rinse. I don't know what color you're looking for but it's a safe alternative to coloring. It rinses out after several washes but it's much better for your hair. By the way i love my flower (altho I didnt think it was worth the price) but my blusher is too small. So I'm sending ti back today and she's making me a bigger one... I never knew I had a big heads lol... I'm contemplating dying my hair. My loctician is all ab taking care of your hair and bc my hair has broken off so much she's not willing to bleach and dye it. I was thinking of getting someone else to dye it and just have her take care of my hair (so rude right). I wanna dye it this summer so that by nov the color will be locked in and not run when I get in the water and stuff i'm just scared that I'll break my hair off more...
