  2. Awesome review Yamille!! Thanks SO much!! Congrats on being officially married!
  3. I have no idea since I'm not married yet either! I think (from seeing other peoples pic's) you sign it sometime during the ceremony....towards the end maybe? I hope someone can help! I think you sign it after the vows and everything, and before you walk back down the aisle...if that makes sense!
  4. Those are wonderful!! You and DH are such a cute couple! Congrats

I didn't give her a big guest list though, just bridesmaids who will be in town anyway for my bachelorette. I'm not registering...just hoping nobody gets me salads bowls and candle sticks!! LOL.... I bet you do get candle sticks & salad bowls, they're so common! Keep me posted Hope it goes well!
  6. This thread made me smile....I can't tell you how many girls on here had their original ideas completely put in check when they first started shopping....me included. What I ended up with was nothing like I orginally wanted, but I couldn't be happier!!!!!!! Best of Luck to you!!!!!!!!!!
  7. they turned out fantastic! love the one on the chair!!! sexy & elegant!! congrats
  8. I know how it is to have a loved one with health issues! My brother had a brain tumor at age 11 (he's now 30) but it was on his pituitary gland (produces/regulates all hormones) so now he has no hormone production and they also messed up his vision when they were scraping the tumor off. It feels like everyday is a battle, especially trying to balance all these medications and seeing how they conflict with each other and effect his mood/behavior. All I can say is be thankful for everyday and I don't think the worrying will ever go away. Women worry anyway, and its expounded by these type of things. Good Luck and you're such a strong woman for taking such good care of your FI. he is blessed to have you!
  9. Super Cute! You have such a fun wedding date too!! 09-09-09 - awesome!

PS: Your pup is SO cute!
  11. I love your boquet!! Simly but classy and perfect! Thanks for sharing, congrats on being a MRS!
  12. congrats pepper!!! things look AMAZING!!! You were a beautiful bride and the ceremony location looks fabulous!!! I'm so happy for you Thanks for taking the time to post such a great review!
  13. That is so frustrating because its your word against his, basically!! I was in a similar situation when I was pulled over for crossing railroad tracks as a train was coming....are you kidding me! I am deathly afraid of car accidents but the cop insisted I was ignoring the crossing guards!! They can be so overbearing at times and make you feel like you cant win! I'm sorry to hear this!!! Especially since my drive is 1 hour each way and I spend most of it on the phone with the TA or my mom figuring out wedding stuff! Good Luck! XO
  14. my future FIL is in a crazy position. He doesnt really work for 1 dealership he works for GM parts division and is assigned to a specific territory...he was just forced to sign a contract that they're reducing his pay and his employment is now on a month-to-month basis dependent upon what dealerships in his territory remain open. I'll keep your family in my thoughts too, and wish them the best of luck!!! I hope people decide to buy american! I know I will in the future (ironic since i drive a camry!) hang in there GM employees!

You would die if you knew him too because he is pretty shy and it was seriously COMPLETELY unexpected....i still tear up when i read it!!!!!!!!!! thank you thank you thank you! Its funny, my website is the reason I even started this thread. I'd put on there a while ago that we'd register, and I've just been dreading it forever! i had to ask for advice! Thanks again

  17. I am so torn on this! It's not that I'm extremely against the idea...I just really can't picture myself having a traditional wedding shower and being the center of attention while everyone watches me open gifts I don't really want. My FI was previously married and has amazing cookwear and we just bought a house and thus have already picked up a lot of the big stuff. I know we can always find stuff to register for, or replace old things, but I also feel guilty having people spend MORE money on me since a lot of them are already throwing down big bucks just to come. Does anyone else feel this way?? Anyone have ideas for a non-traditional shower? I was talking to my mom about maybe just going to the beach and drinking margaritas and having a "girls day" to celebrate getting married...but she is sure that the people we'd invite will bring gifts anyway, and thinks I might as well get what I want instead of just getting random things. I also thought about registering for things to do on my honeymoon, but we're only staying 5 days. i like the idea registering for help with some of the wedding costs...but i cant bring myself to do it because then they're literally spending money and giving me money and i really feel weird about it! I can't wait to hear other girls thoughts on this!
  18. I am soooooooo late in reading your update but I am extremely happy for you!!! Very weird of the lady in the building next door, but alls well that ends well. Good luck figuring out your presentation!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. There are a bunch of threads on this. Try searching the forum For me personally, my dad is really into music. I told him to pick the song and surprise me! It won't be much of a suprise since i have to give the song list to the DJ, but I liked giving him some involvment in the wedding
  20. Good for you, thats what you should do! Look out for YOURSELF, just like they did. Random side note: My FI also got a DUI 4 years ago and his friend took his keys away because he was too drunk do drive, but when FI wanted to leave and got upset, they give the keys back!!!!!!! who does that! The keys were taken for a REASON! It upset me to read that part of it, because not only was it unfair to your FI, they also put other people in danger!!! Keep your distance and be "cordial & nice" and thats all you need to do! I am learning as well to only go out of my way for those who would do the same for me!
  21. Review - Photographer Michael Maurus/Cancun Wedding Photography I just read this too and it sounds awful!!!!!!!!! Definitely made me reconsider!!! Good Luck!
  22. ugh, this makes me sick. My FI's dad works for GM and has been there 20+ years. He's a parts manager and makes 6 figures, he has a lot of health issues and is eligible for retirment in 2 years. We're hoping he can hold on that long my heart goes out to all GM employees.
