So what is usually done? Do you pick out the colors first & then go find the BM dresses to match or do you find a BM dress first & then use the co-ordinating colors with the dresses to be your theme colors. Kind of like--what comes first, the chicken or the egg ? (ha ha )

Now I have a whole new world of "threads" to look at...the "planning" threads will be my next stop in doing further research for ideas for my daughters wedding.

Just found this "thread" Maybe it will give me the inentive to join WW again. It helped LOTS years ago & getting ready for my daughters wedding in less than 5 months might get me motivated....hope so !

Oh Great, something else to worry about...I really am trying to stay positive, but I am beginning to think the DW idea is getting way more complicated than a church wedding and reception at home.

How do you ladies find all the time to make all the favors? and you are all obviously really talented to do all the DIY things....my daughter just isn't very creative & she gets that from me. Thats why I LOVE to SEE all the ideas everyone is sharing. Maybe I can find a friend who can help, cuz we NEED HELP desperately !! ( HA HA )

Thanks for the positive feed-back....we booked the wedding even before the resort opened up so anything I can find out on RIU Montego Bay from someone who's been there is a PLUS. I will keep checking back on this forum to see if there are more reviews. Looks like there are some upcoming weddings in Feb. & March so I hope those ladies share everything with us that are still planning for weddings later in the summer. I'm the mother of the bride & trying to get involved but letting my daughter & her fiance make the decisions....I am sharing as many options & ideas as possible.

Quick Question--read somewhere that Michael (from Photo shop) does not accept credit card payment for photography and video....did you find that to be true?

Since this was already my daughters choice for the theme colors for invitations, the sand ceremony, party favors, etc....was glad to get more ideas. Never thought of orange with it, but I will keep an open mind (ha ha)

Just saw the picture of the Palm tree centerpiece....I think it would be GREAT to use for a bridal shower too. Awesome idea, thanks for sharing !

Guess what I'm finding out on the forum is that whatever YOU want to do is OK....some brides are way too picky & must be so stressed out by the time their big day comes they can't even enjoy themselves. Do what YOU want & don't be swayed by what others think you should have....its YOUR wedding ! RELAX, everything will be fine....Don't "sweat the small stuff"

The "Signature Vase" was an AWESOME suggestion. I am just new to this forum & am trying to get ideas to help my daughter plan her wedding. The ROSE ceremony is something new to me....I loved the wording ! THANKS !

GREAT idea & the cost is excellent....I'm still in the planning stages of finding info for my daughter...I'm the "web surfer" of the family & then I share the ideas with her. Still have LOTS to learn about DW.

Please do a complete review after you return....I am anxiously waiting for any & all details about the RIU Montego Bay weddings. Welcome to BDW forum....I see that you are getting married at RMB the week prior to my daughter. I am anxiously waiting more posts regarding weddings at the RIU in Montego Bay....I see several brides getting married in Feb. & March. Hopefully they will give us all sorts of new information. Happy planning....we have flights & the resort figured out, but not much more. My daughter wants it to be simple & non-stressful. I am more worried about the details than her !! I'm also anxious to get some more reviews of the RMB weddings coming up. My daughter is getting married there the week of June 21, 2009. We are especially interested in finding out who the wedding coordinator is & do we contact her or will she contact us? I'm trying to help get as much info as possible on anything & everything regarding the RIU weddings in Montego Bay.

See that you are also getting married at RMB...have you already been in contact with WC ? Are you having "free wedding" package? Thats what my daughter has chosen, not sure if we should upgrade ?

where do we start? See that you must have helped w/ daughters wedding. How long before wedding did you contact wedding coordinator to find what choices you had ? Also need to find help with what legal documents are needed to apply for license in Jamaica.

Hi I'm Kay: Just joined this forum....am the mother of a VERY busy bride. The wedding is at Riu Montego Bay the week of June 21, 2009. Travels plans have been set, but the details of the actual wedding have not been started yet. Want to help my daughter and be a good "resource" for her, so thought this would be a good way to start.
