Keep a note pad near your bed-side & another one in your purse & take notes everytime you think of something to put on your "to do list" Then start crossing off each times something gets done....and you know what, if something doesn't get done, who will know ? Don't "sweat the small stuff"

ALL great suggestions, I will have to share with my daughter.

Try to keep POSITIVE thoughts...I had a car accident 6 months ago & still have some bad days, but have found some real help with a very caring physical therapist. Take care....don't thing the worst.

My daughter & fiance have just decided to give a personalize cooler mug as a gift to those in attendance. Others they've talked to said if they have received OOT bags from other brides & grooms, its mostly things they had packed themselves (like gum, mints, aspirin, Kaopectate, etc. ) so we figure not to waste the money.

Have read some posts that say Chantelle is a real sweetie & works very long hours...not sure why she hasn't responded, Has the bride to be tried CALLING by phone ?

My daughter is having the "sand ceremoney" but just is using smaller type vases that won't require that much sand...she figures if the sands gets mixed up and don't look that great, they can always do a "do-over" when they get home with some fresh sand & then just use the new one to put on the mantle or in a hutch as a remembrance.

Lil Paisley--need to get more points to download your Jamaica travel book so I guess I better start posting again....then I will SEE what everyone says is such good information

I just read about your documents not being received. I feel so badly for you, but try to stay calm & all will work out !! I think the "scan idea" sounds good, I'm not sure why they don't just accept that to begin with. After all, you will have the originals with you when you actually travel down for the wedding, they only need the info for the wedding license application--right ? "Snail mail" seems so archaic, and especially since you are dealing with Canada to Jamaica postal service. Let us know what Chantelle reports back to you. You did such a great job on your "review" and it definitely helped alot ! I've been keeping notes on all the pros & cons about things that happened for the RMB brides & can say I'm very much more at ease & confident that my daughter Marie made a good choice to go to Jamaica for her destination wedding. I am so EXCITED to see your Review....it has put my mind at ease on so many levels. Can you fill in some more details, like time of wedding, If & where you had your wedding dinner afterwards? So glad that everything went OK & so happy to see your review, I have been waiting to see what you thought of the RIU. My daughter is getting married there in June & have seen Indigo's Review & now yours & that puts me more at ease. Glad to hear about the wedding actually being ON the beach, wasn't sure that was an option. How far ahead did you book the Italian Restuarant? Was that done before-hand with Chantelle or not til you got to Jamaica ? I have so many more questions about your legal documents, the choices for the flowers, the photo costs, etc. but will let you rest after your honeymoon & hope you will continue to stay on this forum & help some of the rest of th RIU brides as the month goes along. Good to "see" another mom of the bride on here....this site is pretty addicting. I am very anxious to hear what all the Feb. & March brides getting married at RMB have to say after their big day. I think "lilpaisley" is there this weekend for her wedding. Hope she posts a great review afterwards....Kris, if you are reading this....CONGRATULATIONS. My daughters wedding is now less than 4 months away....and still we have lots more questions than answers or decisions, but this forum has been a GREAT resource !

Thanks for the pictures, I was able to show them to my daughter today. She has 4 more months to go til her June wedding & I think she is finally getting excited. Seeing the resort photos was VERY helpful cuz it helped put her at ease. Its so hard knowing we booked the wedding before the resort even opened & the the RIU website has really not been updated in a very long time, so seeing the actual photos makes it more of a reality !

Just found this "thread" & am greatful to see all the RMB brides encouraging each other. My daughter Marie is getting married the week of June 21 at RIU Montego Bay. I am new to this forum but have already learned so much info about the resort from all of you. I am anxiously waiting to hear how your weddings go at RMB. I see that there are several coming up in the next few weeks so I hope you take the time for a "WEDDING REVIEW" cuz that is so valuable for those still planning. I'm afraid I have more questions than answers at this time, but when its my turn I certainly will share. My daughter is getting married at RMB in Jamaica this June...she wants the beach wedding but wonders if wearing a veil is a wise idea or not ! If its windy at the beach (which I assume it always is ) is the veil going to cause problems with photos & will she be worrying about it the whole time ? What are your thoughts ?

Great instructions for gluing the ribbon & flowers....we are not very handy in our household. Helps to have pictures also of the finished product...thanks

So ironic that I found this "thread" . My daughter had an appt today for her first fitting but the seamstress had to cancel cuz we had a snowstorm and she didn't want to drive in the nasty weather. So instead Marie just tried it on for the first time since it was ordered (WE drove thru 6 inches of snow to get to the bridal botique--that was NOT fun ) Anyway, she looked so beautiful in her ivory dress and her veil is very similiar to your veil #2....I love the beading on it...sort of ties the whole look together.

Great idea & glad to hear they allow only an order of 50 now. Always good to find a reputable business that does internet orders & being on e-Bay with PayPal is a plus.

Having family and friends there to share it with you is all you really need!! That is a lovely sentiment & I know thats how my daughter feels. Thanks for the great review & congratulations !
