Amy I love your thumbprint guest book idea!! Super cute! And it sounds like you got a ton done!! That's got to feel good! Just about 1 month to go! Thanks, Shannon, I appreciate the offer. I think we found 2 readings, well maybe 3. But we're still trying to figure out what to do with P's other sis. Do you have a sand ceremony reading/poem or did you just get one off the web somewhere? Di, I saw your dress posted in the dress thread - you look gorgeous! I really like the dry-erase guest book idea too. Chrissy, I can't believe you guys are re-painting your house right now! I'd be dying right now!

Yay for Bethenny! I'm happy for her. Have to say it's too bad she & Jill couldn't work out their stupid spat. Friendships are so fickle on this show!

I never would have dreamed it actually would have happened on our honeymoon because i've been on the pill for 13 years and only off for 3 months. fingers crossed this baby "sticks" and I'll be a mom by xmas! Wow! You guys work fast! Congratulations!!!! Wonderful news! We'd like a weddingmoon baby too, but the practical side of me says we should wait a year til I'm done w/ school.

Show us your wedding dress!

You're all gorgeous ladies!! Love these dresses! Diva, that's unbelievable!! Congrats on finding such an amazing deal! -
Amy that is freaking awesome!!! You get 2 DW's! And one of them with Elvis! When are you guys going? Anyone involving people as part of the wedding without having them do the sand ceremony or a reading? We already have 2 readings & I'm trying to think of some other way to involve FI's sister. He doesn't love the sand ceremony idea, but he said he'll do it if we can't think of something else. why are boys difficult?

Congratulations!! Hope you had a perfect day!! -
Thanks girls! I really like the tiles too. They're basically our favors so I thought people could use them later as trivets, spoon rests or just as decoration. Shannon, that's a really good question! We have 2 readings (one of my bro's & one of FI's sisters). Then the other day FI said we really need to incorporate his other sister somehow so maybe we'll do a sand ceremony & have her read the poem. Not sure what to give them though. Maybe we can buy them each a piece of Mexican pottery or something local when we get down there. Amy, are you guys really doing an Elvis wedding?! Love the idea! Even if you don't, Vegas will be awesome! And I'm jealous of your proximity to shopping! I have nothing around me & it takes forever to take the subway to get anywhere so there's no running out for a quick trip. I can't even find a decent dollar store. They're all pretty ghetto.

Finding the perfect outfit is tough! And limiting it to a color makes it even harder! What if all the girls wear black & you wear white? Or red or your fav color? Good luck finding something you like! I opted out of a traditional bachelorette party so luckily I don't have that stress. Actually my mini-bach party was when I was home in Chicago in January for a BD shoot with just the bridesmaids & then out to dinner & drinks. Amy, how great! Vegas!! I've never been, but having 10 people go with you sounds like sooo much fun! I'm in the same mind-set (ordering stuff & then returning what I don't like). So far I've ordered a David's Bridal short bridesmaid dress in ivory. Didn't love it so it went back. Then I bought a dress at White House Black Market, brought it home but don't love it so it's going back too. I really love this BCBG dress from last year (ivory taffeta w/ straps and a ruffled hem) but it's only made in black now. I emailed Light in the Box to see if they can make it for me. We'll see. What kind of dress are you looking for? So here's what I've been working on. our pre-wedding packages. We had to get two different styles of luggage tags b/c I couldn't find more of the ones from Michaels (the larger ones). Everyone in our family will get the larger ones and the rest of the guests are getting the ones with the dots. We had to get some in pink & orange too. We only have 3 kids coming (FI's niece & nephews) so we got them their own special luggage tags These are the table #'s & place cards. I ordered Mexican Talavera tiles, painted the backs with terracotta colored paint & then will write names/table # on the backs. Each couple will get a different tile.

Amy you took the words right out of my mouth! My heart just lept into my throat (is it leapt or lept?). It all of the sudden seems exponentially closer. Holy crap Shannon, 1 month!!! I'd be freaking out cuz I have sooo much left to do! Seems like you're all set with the BM gifts - I'm sure they'll love everything. I love your ring - it's gorgeous!! And how great to be celebrating 8 years this weekend! Have a great time! Kayley, it's so sweet that you have a promise ring! What a great place-holder for your e-ring and it's a special part of your history together I have a ton left to do: 1. Work on our place cards; they're tiles that I painted the backs of but I still have to write everyone's names and table #'s on them 2. Assemble/address our pre-wedding packages (luggage tags & brochure). 3. Repaint the paint brushes I have for people to brush sand from their feet; I did it once but the handles are really rough. 4. Make tags for the OOT bags and get all the stuff together. I'm still looking for aloe & sudoku books. 5-?? Work on our vows, get our music together, look for spa wraps for my BM's, & pack a bag to give to FI's parents to bring. Also need to find a legal day dress. And in the midst of all this, I'm helping plan a shower on 5/1 for one of my best friends back in Chicago. ugh

Thanks girls! I love it Originally I thought I'd just want a plain band, but when I tried this one on I was speechless. FI was like "done!" Shannon, yeah it's flush up against the e-ring & fits just underneath the solitaire. They weren't made to go together, but when FI helped design my ring he had it made so the solitaire sits up a little higher - made finding a band pretty easy. The channel set bands are gorgeous too! Kayley, when will you get your ring back? I'd feel naked too! Wow you totally put things into perspective! Gotta get moving on some more projects!

Great info Carly & Cassie! We really want a dog so that quiz will be great!

wow. those pics came out way bigger than I thought. sorry girls; don't mean to yell at you w/ my photos

So exciting Shannon! Did you find something you like? We got our bands a couple months ago & it's been really hard not to try it on all the time! Mine is from the jeweler he bought my e-ring at (Greenwich Jewelers on Trinity Place down in the financial district). We found his there too, but bought it online a couple hundred dollars cheaper (always a bonus!). Here are some pics. His Mine (though I had it made as an eternity band) e-ring

Oooh, I love them!! The stems will look beautiful in the centerpieces and I love how all the bouquets look together!
-
Hi girls! Hope everyone's doing great! Shannon, I love the centerpiece! Beachy & beautiful! Amy, do you have pics you can post? We want to see! I'm not sure how much Dreams charges for mani's/pedis but I'm sure it's not cheap. My solution is to get a pedi before I go to MX and then the day before the wedding around 12 of us are going into PV to get mani's. I was referred to a salon that one of the other Dreams PV girls went to w/ her bridal party and she said they were really cheap & did a good job. Could you maybe find a salon off the resort? Chrissy, I would definitely still get a manicure. It's the perfect time to pamper yourself a little. Plus nails don't have to be long to look nice - they'll clean up your cuticles & lotion you up. You could have a pale pink or French manicure, both of which are neutral & won't draw attention to your hands if you're worried about them.

Jerseykitten's OOT Bags...done!
KarenM replied to jk1101's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Michelle, everything looks great!! All of your VP'ing has certainly paid off - your guests will love all of it! It's really incredible that you were able to go piece by piece to get such great deals! You crack me up - I'm gonna have to go cold turkey too. The OOT bags are my biggest addiction - they're like crack! Gotta get just one more thing for them...or maybe 2
