I just wanted to double check that the reception is free if you have 75+ room nights. FI and I have to pay our balance and right now we have 72 room nights. We are willing to pay the extra 3 if the reception will be free because we are also up to 60 people so that would be cheaper. Free vs. $400 a table....I am hoping the reception can count as one of the "unlimited private functions." Does it? Also what do you think of having a rehearsal lunch for only the family and bridal party at a restaurant and then a welcome dinner for everyone? I wanted to have a welcome dinner but now we have too many people for the restaurants and would have to get a private function. That means I would have to choose another buffet and location. I wanted it in a restaurant!!! I do not want people to have a buffet one night and then another buffet at my wedding, or have the welcome dinner be nicer than the reception! If I have the welcome dinner inside it would be plated and nicer than the reception, I wish the reception could be plated instead of buffet! Where we are from in New York if your wedding is buffet then it is considered cheap. Things that are sneered upon- Sunday daytime weddings, cash bars, and buffets.... I went to a wedding last weekend with a buffet and everyone was talking about it being buffet.... and not in a good way! I like buffet b/c you get to pick and choose but that's the way things are. FI has some rich snobby friends, and I feel like I would have to explain that outdoors there is no other option before they say something, but then I am thinking that the snotty people that I do not like are probably not coming and why do I even care what they think? These New Yorkers...not all are like that but there are too many that are! Has anyone had the Polynesian menu, it says it has a carving station. How flexible are they with mix and matching? The mango cake with sticky rice just makes my stomach turn, ewww! Need some chocolate in that menu! Anyway sorry to ramble I have a lot of questions. Victoriassecret has some nice bikini's with "newlywed" and "Mrs." on them. They also have a lot of pretty underwear. I want to get the hoodie but its expensive and you can really only wear it a few times. It would be cheaper to go to Michaels or AC moore, they have iron on rhinestones that say "Bride" and "Mrs." but the VS stuff is so nice!

I have Cristina as my WC, anybody else have her? We are now having our reception at the Terrazza Mar, so I hope to see more photos of it! I am still on the fence about the chair bows. My FI and bridesmaids keep insisting that nobody will notice or care, and that it is too much of an effort to bring them down (yeah b/c they don't want them in their suitcases!) and that at $3 each at the resort it is a waste, what do you girls think? Will it be okay without the chair bows??

Yeah the website says: It will not be extended to travelers on: Famtrips, travel agent or employee rates, complimentary, incentive or compensatory stays. It is not valid on the "travel agent rate" meaning when travel agents go visit the resort they get a special price, it doesn't mean that if you book through a travel agent you do not get it. Also has anyone had their reception on Terraza Mar? It is a new terrace in the grand section. My WC recommended it but I was nervous b/c the other place that would fit my group is the Lake terrace. The Lake terrace is close to the water and I wanted it close to the beach, but she didn't recommend that to me....any thoughts?

I called Palace resorts last night b/c I was worried (btw their hours are 9 to 9? woah) It is effective June 1st, 2010- so even if you booked under the old one you have to use this new one. I want to know how much each tour is b/c my guests are excited about the tours! If you book through a travel agent you still get it, if a travel agent books they are the ones that are exempt. It does say subject to change at any time so I guess thats how they can change it all of the sudden :-p

I actually have 3 rooms booked through RCI timeshare for my family. You get the palace passport with all the tours and discounts if you prepay the all inclusive fee. My TA checked and anyone who is staying 3 nights or more gets the passport included automatically. I emailed her b/c there was a bride on here(futuremrsmoulto) that said she had to go to a presentation to get the tours and fight but my TA contacted the WC who said that is a scam if you go to the wrong people and you have to make sure to go to the Moon Palace Tours office and not to any of the other vendors. The all inclusive fee through the timeshare is still pretty steep but it is about $1000 cheaper for everybody- $1900 for a week for 2 people!!! If you put extra people they charge $652 each... so it is still MUCH cheaper. I don't think my family could have afforded to go otherwise. Keep in mind though that we have to use our timeshare points and pay the maintenance fee so it probably equals out, lol! but back to the Wedding Coordinator questions... any more responses? I am DYING to see the sapphire package info. I emailed my WC b/c my wedding is in 88 days now :-) so I am awaiting her response. How did they contact you did they send a hello email or anything?

LOL! I love it too! I was home sick on Monday and Tuesday and was happy that Monday Criminal Intent is on ALL DAY and Tuesday SVU is on ALL DAY! From 6 in the morning til whenever at night! I cannot STAND Vincent Dinofrio, but I still watch Criminal Intent. For me it is a tie between the original and SVU. I don't know if I really like Jeff Goldblum either... I actually prefer the reruns but still love the show!

I got them they are soooo nice!!!! Here is one modeled by my mom's friend. I bought them in to work and everybody was in awe of how nice they were for the price. I paid $46 for 24 of them, I got them on ebay from the seller mistypinesembroidery, they are really nice and made me a custom logo with Cancun, a palm tree, and 08-09-2010! I only had to pay $.50 extra per bag(so $12 total) for the palm tree embroidered too. If you want only text it is free! I am now wondering if I should get these for the women too!

Isn't there some way that you can combine the catholic and civil? That would be kinda silly if the catholic ceremony was not legally binding. There are now 4 other weddings on my date (08-09-2010)! I just went to the website and checked the availability... There are weddings at 2, 3, 4, 5(me), and 6 now. Who are these other 4 people? LOL! I hope they join the forum! They have some new pictures of the collections up (well since the last time I have been to the site). I am getting nervous b/c the deadline to book with my contract is May 1st, and we still only have 7 rooms booked with the travel agent. :-( a lot of people booked elsewhere because she was offering them rooms with a view and they saw the prices for the garden/parking lot rooms on orbitz/expedia and booked there. I wish she had emphasized the cheaper rooms... make sure your TA's emphasize that! I need 3 more people to book so our contract is not void. FI claims that it is not a problem but I hate how people keep saying they are coming but then don't book!!! If you are coming just book what is the problem!!!!! One of my BM just called and said she isn't coming now b/c of money so now I do not believe anyone because she swore up and down she was coming. I know I am being rude but either book or don't book don't sell me these promises and get my hopes up! I hope we can get the deadline extended. Does anyone else have this probleM? I will be so mad if people book after because then we do not get the free reception, upgrade, and room nights!

That is so horrible! I know it will give people plenty more excuses not to come... but then again they would find some excuse anyway! Besides this is a pretty silly one, being from New York where dangerous things happen all the time if you are not smart......but this was a planned case of domestic violence! It was not tied to Mexico in any way! But why did it have to happen at our resort I like how it says "swanky" and "5-star" describing the resort in the papers ;-)
