Welcome! I am a June 2009 Dreams bride. Even though it seems daunting, read the Dreams thread "questions for those married here" Its over 200 pages long, and worth the time it takes to read it. So much valuable info, and if you haven't figured this out yet, the WC at Dreams isn't exactly prompt with her email! Good luck and let me know if I can answer any questions, I read the whole 200+ pages and cut and pasted a 16 page word document with important info

Read some reviews from brides that have been married in Jamaica and get in touch with a TA, you'll feel less stressed after booking a date at a resort that someone else had a great experience with. Good luck!

Even though dreams has wedding packages, it seems like everyone makes som exchanges to include things they want and get credited for things they don't. I thought it might be helpful if people posted some of the trades they made to give future brides an idea of what to ask for. Thanks for any input! What did you not use? and what did you get in its place?

I like this thread; it is fun to hear how people met. I met FI in a hole-in-the-wall-bar in our hometown. He is five years older than me, so knew my siblings but didn't even know I existed. He had been living in AZ for the past 10 years and happened to be home visiting his family. He saw me and pointed at me across the bar and asked a long-time friend of mine (who he went to high school with), "Who is that girl? I am going to marry her some day!" So my friend introduced us, and needless to say, I thought he was a bit creepy. LOL. He soon moved to Chicago and we talked occasionally on the phone. He asked me out many times over the next year only to get turned down. The following thanksgiving he came home again and we met up; suddenly I was in love too! The rest is history...

Oh, I wanted to ask for some opinions. Our ceremony will be at 7 (2 and 7 were the only times available). Is it already dark at this time? I found a website that says the sunset is at 7:34 that day. Does that mean it is gone by that time? I think I can just get pics before the ceremony and then we can attend the cocktail hour with our guests, which would be nice since it seems like everyone here missed that part. What are your thoughts on this?

You have been so helpful to me. I was very frustrated with Claudia not getting back to me too, but now I know it isn't just me. A tip: my travel agent knows Claudia's boss, turns out if your really want an answer have your TA copy the boss on the email.. You get answers within hours! I know its sneaky, but sometimes you need an answer

Thanks for the tip on sashes for love! I will look into them. I don't remember how much bows were from the resort, but I know it was more than $2. Then I can use them for the AHR too.

Did you use the same dress for TTD and ceremony? What is everyone else doing? BTW, you look beautiful and thanks for the review!

Thanks for all the pics, but i'm still a little concerned about the construction on the terrace. Wish I knew what it will look like when I host my reception there!
