Well, I am a little scared to go to work today. I work with an auto finance company that has been in the news a lot lately! OMG!!!! And we all saw or heard about the press conference held yesterday by the President. The rumors at work yesterday was that there were going to be a series of firings and layoffs today. I have been with the company for 6 yrs and very concerned about our future. This is not the time this to be happening with a wedding come up in a few months. I think I should be ok since my last review was excellent. Please send up good thoughts/prayers for me today.

I think several brides go through this in some form of fashion when they decide to have a destination wedding because others feel it is inconvenient. But like you told your family and like I told a few people as well, it is about why my fiance and I want and no one else. We are having ours in Las Vegas so the cost is not really too much but his mom just got over arguing with us about our location. He finally just told her that unless she is paying for the entire wedding that it WILL BE in Las Vegas, NV. We are paying for everything ourselves so everyone else will have to deal with it - come or not - the wedding will go on.

Thanks everyone for your tips. I will definitely be using them because I will have to do my makeup myself. No one going to my wedding is here in Texas with me so I will be getting a chart and asking loads of questions.

I am right now down 20lbs so far!!! : ) I have to admit that I have not been attending the meetings are regularly as I should be but still trying to manage my portion sizes. I have also been participating in a bootcamp workout with this group in the area since January which is keeping me motivated as well.

I don't think this is weird and if both of you agree to this, I think you should. My fiance and I don't live together right now, but I wanted to us abstain about 1 month before our wedding. Your wedding night will be special regardless of what you decide to do but it could make the day very exciting because you all are really going to be wanting to just go back to your room and get it on!!

I just ordered one of the Turbo Jam videos as well as one of the workouts with the bouncy ball from Beachbody. I also got the weighted gloves already and they are great for workouts and provide that added resistance and weight when exercising. The true test comes when I actually do these videos to see if I can hang!

Hi Ladies, I normally do not wear makeup on a regular basis and have to say that I wouldn't know how to apply it to make it look good. The only thing I really buy is lip gloss/lip stick and lip liner. My wedding is not until July so I have to time to prepare and I don't want a plain face. What should I do and where should I start. I know there are Mary Kay consultants out there or I could go to a counter in a department store like MAC but where would be the best place for me to start? Need your help!

I think you should do it. I want to do it with some of my friends that are coming in from out of town. I think it will be fun for everyone.

I really like the CD idea as well. One game that I have seen online was the toilet paper game but you could use red streamers - and have groups of guests make wedding dresses out of the streamers. You would have one person in the group as the "model" and have others make the dress giving them tape of paper clips to hold the pieces together.

At first I didn't care and figured we would just stay together the night before so I asked my fiance what he wanted to do, and to my surprise, he wants us to stay apart the night before. Our ceremony will be at 10am so we won't be apart too long. He says that he doesn't want to see me until I walk down the aisle & see me in my dress for the 1st time. I am actually excited about it right now. We are getting married in Las Vegas and our chapel provides a "First Look Service" and will be picking us up separately so we won't see each other until I walk down the aisle.

My fiance and I plan on waiting at least a year after our wedding before trying to have babies. He is a teacher and wants to plan the pregnancy where I have a baby around May or June which is his summer break. I am 30 and he wants to have 3 kids and I figure we can't wait too long.

I finally booked the chapel we are using in Las Vegas - Chapel of the Flowers. We still haven't decided what we are going to do for a lunch reception yet. I want it to be a fun atmosphere and leaning towards Kahunaville right now. We have about 20 people that have committed to coming.

The handkerchiefs look great. I wanted to get one for my mom & his mom. I love what is written on there for your mom because my mom will be walking me down the aisle as well.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I was looking to get my maid of honor and my mom & his mom a tote bag that was more expensive on another site and similar style. This saves me a lot.
