  1. I just got a letter from my WC that there are zero known swine flu cases in PV area
  2. I actually think Fox News is one of the better ones to watch on something like this
  3. people that can't come are going to want to send you gifts - I would register
  4. yes, technically etiquette says you are supposed to ...we have a bunch of people who said no for sure but we are still sending them an invitation...plus some people do change their minds
  5. Congrats Shannon - it all looks amazing!! I want to go swimming in that water at your resort NOW! It looks so inviting
  6. I would dryclean it - but it is definitely your preference...have you asked the store where you bought the dress who they recommend? they always have a drycleaner they like as far as yellowing - I really don't think you have anything to worry about - I'm pretty sure it takes years to yellow
  7. I think it goes into April as well - colleges all have different spring breaks unfortunately
  8. We aren't getting one - I personally don't think it is worth the money...I wouldn't really want to watch anyone's long wedding video - so I feel like people would think the same as mine....photos are good enough for me! I have seen some that are under 5 minutes though - and those are great I think - but I still think they are pricey

  11. it depends - you are in the US so you probably are getting the best rates through the Ritz....I got better rates through a TA than from my hotel directly in Puerto Vallarta though - it makes no sense I know...and the hotel would not meet the travel agent rates. I would go ahead and just get a couple TA quotes though - you never know - maybe they could get better rates for your guests, like mine did. As far as flights - we aren't using the TA for flights - everyone is just booking direct through the airlines since they had better rates than the TA.
  12. some of my guests wanted to but our prices through the TA are less than Expedia or Orbitz so it would be dumb of them to go that route
  13. Hi Jen - I know you posted this in the Cabo forum but I thought I would reply because of how I came to my decision. My FI and I were absolutely set on Cabo (we are in San Diego by the way)...we went down there for New Years Eve to do our site visits - while we loved it...it was just way too expensive for our guests. That was most important for us....I ended up getting PV pricing after and I was able to get an amazing wedding coordinator and a ton of other extras by going to Puerto Vallarta instead of Cabo...Also, when I got pricing from a TA - Dreams PV was about 1/2 the price for our guests compared to Dreams Cabo. Don't get me wrong - Cabo is amazing - but I had to decide it on pricing for my guests above all - and PV beat out Cabo on that (by a lot)
  14. my dress is on the dress thread somewhere - can't find it at the moment...it's Alvina Valenta - ivory color....form fitting mermaid dress - strapless
  15. yeah I'd get a TA sunshine - did you try one from the forum?
  16. yay Andi!!!! Congrats:) - can't wait to hear all about it...have a blast!!!!
  17. I'd wear them for pics and to the Church ceremony - most likely they'd come off when in the sand like you girls said
  18. yes - I would get them a gift as well - even if it is just something small on their registry
  19. thanks Julz for those other choices - you are so sweet and thank you everyone for your opinions Heather, you are right - I will probably take them off in the sand
