Kate I'd go Dreams PV- there is no way you should be spending that much. Contact a TA on the forum and you will get a lot better prices than that and it will be under your limits.

I don't think you should worry about it - let your photog do the research on what needs to be done.

Wanted to write a quick review on Stephanie Williams photography (Stephanie Williams - Photographer - Weddings, Portraits, Destination - Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Worldwide) - not only were they amazing photographers (her and her second shooter - husband Isaac) - but they are such a fun and sweet couple. I searched for a while for a wedding photographer, and I fell in love with Stephanie William's work right away, there was just something about her images that were different from a lot of other photographers out there. We are so glad we made this decision!! So many people have been saying our photos are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen. We are so blessed to have had them as our photographers! I know I already recommended this to you but Casa Velas - it is a lot nicer than Dreams though - comparable there isn't really anything comparable, you are either going to get nicer or less nice in my opinion.

I have not but my friend stayed at M and loved it....she said it was awesome...it is however a good drive from the strip

We went to Mandala and paid $35 for a wristband that was all you can drink - this was on thursday night. I would absolutely recommend the wristband!

Congrats Kate! Just my opinion but get some TA quotes as well. TA's were less than Dreams for me and Dreams wouldn't budge on the price. With my TA for double occupancy we got for 35 rooms: Deluxe - $110 per night (per person) Jr Suite - $135 Jr jacuzzi - $145 This was with taxes and fees included - single occupancy rates were more than splitting the double occupancy. Just so you know though, rates definitely depend on the time of year you are going and when you book. As far as upgrades, we got a 1 level upgrade from deluxe to jr suite and I think 3 free nights at the deluxe rate - Dreams PV is not good at upgrades at all. If you read some of our reviews you will see that. Any questions feel free to ask but definitely contact a TA.

Well it depends what you want. We were considering Las Caletas but didn't want our guests to have to deal with a 45 minute boatride there and back. I know it is not a big deal to a lot of people, but it bothered us for some reason. We did love Dreams though. You could always have the best of both worlds and stay at Dreams and have your wedding at Las Caletas.
