  1. Wow Desiree!!!!!!!! Those came out so amazing; you had nothing to be nervous about; you are HOT! Tyler is going to flip when he sees those. I LOVE the color one with the pearls and the last picture which is so mysterious sexy model chic! Yippy... Congrats doll!
  2. It's beautiful!!!! I can't wait to see you in it; you are going to look amazing and it's perfect for your TTD!!!!
  3. I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss!!! I am not sure what proper etiquette is in that situation; but I would think that a couple months would be a respectful amount of time.
  4. Wow... well, it isn't something that I would ever personally do or that I would ever fathom my close friends/family doing. I think I would be pretty hurt if a friend said to me "I love you and feel you are important enough to be in my wedding; but I don't trust you enough to believe that you will be there for me - so sign this contract so I don't lose money for the things I want to do for you to thank me for being in my wedding". There really is no nice way to say that without . I understand your concerns about losing money and think it's super sweet of you to want to do all these things for your wedding party; but things happen and people back out whether for understandable or for non-acceptable reasons - it's the reality of a DW. I agree with the other ladies -- either rethink having a wedding party because nothing is ever 100% guaranteed when you are involving other people OR rethink what you are doing for your BM's so if anyone does back out you can get your money back. I don't mean to be harsh .. but I would like to save you the heartache of making the mistake of hurting those that you love.
  5. They all came out amazing; I can't even choose which ones I like best. Your hair/makeup were both PERFECT! I love the pictures with the little white lacy outfit, the bright pink and the ones of you laying down in just the sheet!
  6. I like those colors together... I would go with a shimmery light grey/silver color that would really pop against the others. Nice, unique choices.
  7. I agree with the majority of the ladies... while I wouldn't panic yet - I would get moving soon on this. My dress took 3 months to come in ... but I have heard of dresses taking 6 months or more. And yes, bridal salons can rush it but usually you will incur extra costs. Go by yourself if no one is available; get an idea of what you like ... then bring back Mom for the narrowing down and final decision.
  8. They are both very pretty and super flattering on you... I actually like your original dress best! You can't go wrong with either one though- both look gorgeous!
  9. I agree with the others about wardrobe malfunction concerns on both dresses; get some fashion tape and that will solve that!!! I like #1 .. there is something about it that just jumped out to me; super sexy and fun. Both are gorgeous though..
  10. I also did a letter detailing all of the information that people would need as everyone is not computer savvy enough to look at the website. I think that it's a great idea to do so... We just bought beach stationary at Staples and printed up a detailed letter to go with it; it only cost us the cost of the paper for letter; the $$ for the magnets and postage.
  11. I am so glad that it went well!!! Can't wait to see the teasers... And I completely agree with MarieSam; you do not want to miss the look on Tyler's face when he opens them - so make sure pictures are taken! I am having my photographer deliver the album while I am getting ready for the ceremony.
  12. Oh darn!!! I wish that I knew about all of these cute little stamp options before I sent out all my wedding stuff. I have already sent out STD's, Invites and Pre-Wedding Newsletters with boring regular stamps. LOL.
  13. Oooohhh.... I LOVE those. The wording is so clever/cute Savannah!! Great job (as always) - your wedding is coming together so beautifully.
  14. IMHO... they are a courtesy that I feel is necessary for a DW unless you want to send out your invites way in advance. As other posters have said - people need time to save money, take time off of work, obtain passports, etc. It's just a nice little extra to say that "We would like for you to be there with us and want to give you enough time to plan for it". You don't have to do anything expensive ... DIY ones are great! We sent ours out in October 2008 for our August 2009 wedding and most people appreciated the advance notice and loved that we spend the time to send them something special; even if they couldn't attend. Our invites went out in March 2009 to everyone (40 people) even though we know that only 17 people could attend and had already booked. And again, I received a lot of comments from people appreciating the courtesy of including them whether or not they were attending.
  15. Congrats on finding a photographer that you love... it is SO hard to find someone! That is great!
  16. Oh ... I just saw this Desiree!!! You have probably already gone... but I am sure it went well and you look stunning. Can't wait to see the teasers; Tyler s going to absolutely LOVE them.

  18. We are having our reception in the early evening... doing a short hour long cocktail hour; then dinner at the buffet at our AI and then off to the disco. We only have 8 people coming outside of our wedding party attending; so we are keeping it casual... It's a lot less stress, expensive and more casual - which fits our wedding. Do whatever your vision is...
  19. We have a yearly BBW every summer to celebrate our bdays (FI's and mine are 2 days apart) in late August ... so we are just going to have our yearly party but use it as an opportunity to share our wedding photo's with those that could not attend. Super casual, inexpensive and something that we would have done anyway - so no added stress!
