  1. Wow, they look great! I've been waiting to see the finished product and glad it all turned out! Wish I could take on a project like that, but I've already got so much on my plate Great job!
  2. I absolutely love our photographer's work. They are based in Toronto and we found their Destination wedding pricing was very reasonable, especially with the quality of work they produce. Here's their website: vervephotoco.com Good luck!
  3. THANK YOU!!! Michael's doesn't have coupons this week, so I'm definitely on the lookout for the next ones they send on email and I'm off to buy my supplies! Thanks again!
  4. They look great! I can't wait to see your step by step pictures. I think you've just inspired me to start this DIY...I've been putting it off for so long lol.
  5. Hello ladies... I'm starting to design and make my program fans and I'm trying to find a a thread on the forum that I came across a few months back. Someone had posted a DIY project they had for program fans...a project they did over a weekend from what I remember. They were the square/rectangular shaped ones with possibly the popcicle stick handle. She had posted pictures and instructions on the post. I know my description is REALLY vague, but it's all I got. I've been looking for a few hours now and can't seem to find it. I've tried to search for "programs", "fans", "program fans" and haven't had any luck. I also looked through my subscribed threads, and unfortunately it's not in there either. Please let me know if anyone remembers this thread
  6. Everything looks great! Have a wonderful time and post pics when you get back ;o)

I will definitely check out the website and thread you suggested. Thanks, Kimberly Hi Kimberly, I have quite a bit of information regarding the resort as I have been researching it since we got engaged a year and a half ago. I went down there for about 3 days in April to do a site visit and it's gorgeous! Unfortunately I didn't get to visit the chapel first hand, but here are some pictures of it that I have (I believe they're from another bride on the forum who did a site visit...I can't remember anymore) Hope these help and don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions. Happy planning! -row-
  13. Congratulations Karla! Everything looks good and I especially LOVE your dress! Don't forget to post the pics when you get back ;o)

You should check out the barcelo maya brides thread as well as the unofficial barcelo maya website. I absolutely love the resort. We'll be having our ceremony on the beach, but their chapel is really nice and is open-air. I am not on my home computer right now, but I will post my pictures of the chapel when I get a chance. -row-
  15. I'm in shock! So sad hearing stories like this...and at such a young age...
  16. We had a similar situation during a previous trip. There were 9 of us travelling so we just added up the total of 4 double occupancy rates plus the single occupancy and divided it by 9 people and that's what we each paid. It wasn't the ideal situation, but we really wanted our friend to come and none of us minded adding a little bit to our original total. Maybe you have some family members including yourself that may want to do this. Having him stay at a different resort/hotel may be slightly cheaper, but you still have to consider the cost of transfer to/from the resort daily plus the fact that your uncle's gonna be 'totaly' by himself at a different location. Definitely a tough situation...Hope everything works out )
