  1. I'm hoping to get a little guidance on the welcome letter. Did most of you sent out a prewedding letter and also include a welcome letter in the OOT bags? I felt like I needed to send something out in advance with an itinerary, travel information, shuttle information from the airport, etc. But I also think I need to also make a welcome letter with all of the maps, guest info, resort info etc. Just want to make sure it's not overkill. Thanks for any advice.
  2. We are so happy with our photos, I just had a to share. Picasa Web Albums - megan - Cabo Wedding ...
  3. Does anyone have some Cabo photos that can be used for vista print postcard backgrounds? Everything that I download from the web is not high enough resolution to print? Thanks!
  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is confused I tried to make a brochure and gave up!
  5. I was a little bit confused by the Vistaprint website. Do most people design their own postcards and load them onto the site, or try to work with some of the existing templates? thanks!
  6. too many choices, thanks for all the great suggestions!
  7. it's pretty easy to do a monogram yourself- just buy the iron on transfer paper from Michaels.
  8. We are bringing a laptop and mini projector to do a funny slideshow at the rehearsal. The results from the scavenger hunt would be a funny addition to the party... thanks for the great idea!
  9. Tommy Knox "love of my life" John Hiatt "have a little faith in me"
  10. I can add a second vote for Kristie. She just did my BD photos a few weeks ago and it was so much fun. She makes you feel really comfortable and she is really creative.
  11. We decided to rent 3 villas in Cabo Del Sol. I loved some of the options in Pedregal, but my planner talked me out of it because there are so many restrictions in the neighborhood. We are getting married at the Sheraton and walking back to one of the villas for a reception poolside. It's a little bit more expensive to stay at the villas, but you can buy all of your own alcohol which helps save a bit of money and you have a lot of privacy.
  12. Found a great OOT bag with a built in cooler. They do personalization for free! They are a little bit pricier $7-$9 but I think guests would get a lot of use out of them. Combo Cooler Tote Bag - Low Price Guarantee!
  13. My FI and I are in the same situation. His father refuses to come to the wedding. He just hates to travel. We even offered him a first class ticket. In the end, we decided that it's our day and our wedding so we're sticking to the plan. We will fly back home before and after the wedding and I think that's all we can do. Good luck!
  14. Well, I just finished my first DIY project. I attempted the message in a bottle save the date. Everything went pretty well, but I did make a few mistakes. Thought I'd share them to help everyone else. 1) I bought the new soy wax from Michael's that comes in chips to seal the bottles. I also bought dye and fragrance (ocean breeze). The nice thing about this wax is that you can add the chips to a tuperware and melt it in the microwave. The downside is that if you don't stop every 10 second to mix it gets really clumpy. The first 10 bottles that I did had little white clumps stuck in the wax. Also, I think the soy wax is a little bit greasier and might melt in the mail a little bit. 2) I didn't realize that the bottles have to have a full return address. I got all the way to the post office and had to go home to print more labels. 3) make sure you put just a tiny bit of sand of they get expensive to mail. Good luck!
  15. also try zazzle.com. they have some cheap, but cute options
