I plan on doing mine separate. I am sending save the date flyers out now because we are cruising in June. The flyers are going to everyone on the list. Then once people are booked, we will send out invitiations for the AHR but that will be 6 weeks before. I hope most people come on the cruise so we don't have to have the AHR. My 86 and 90 years old aunts are booking this week! I never expected them to come!

Well, it is official! We will be leaving from NJ on June 20th on RC Explorer of the Seas and getting married on Bermuda. The ceremony and reception will be at Coco Reef on June 22. We will be working on save the date flyers now because we want as many as possible booked by Oct 7th.

Start with a list...do you want all inclusive, adults only, kids?? If I am not mistaken, in Mexico you may have to get married in Spanish and then have it translated into English. Both places are beautiful, easy to get to and relatively cheap compared to other places. Take to a TA and then go searching on the computer. Welcome to the forum and best of luck!

I am so sorry you feel the way you do but please know it is normal. You are going through the grieving process. You can't compare yourself to anyone else because a. we are all different and b. each person has a different relationship with their parents. Friends just don't know what to say, especially if they have not lost a parent. You need to let yourself heal but you also need to let your fiance know what you are feeling. Maybe let him read your post. Reach out to your friends, keep the converations brief and let them know you are around. Take little steps like meeting someone for coffee or going to a funny movie. I bet your dad would want you to do these things. He does not want you to be alone and depressed. My dad died a long time ago but I still feel he is with me and watching out for me. Remember all the good times. I used to do this when I was down because it made me feel better. I know it is hard to hear now but as time goes on, it does get easier. You are never alone because he will always be in your heart. I hope this helps a little....take care. Roe

Welcome! We were thinking of Antigua before deciding on a cruise to Bermuda. We did a lot of research and the one place that seemed to have the most for the money is Jolly Beach Resort. The other places we liked were The Verandah and Blue Waters. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your planning! Roe

We have spoken to Barbara and really like her. She is a private wedding planner from Bermuda. We have decided on Coco Reef in Bermuda. It seems that Coco Reef has its own wedding planner. I have read reviews on her and she seems to be good but at times very busy. So, here is the question....do we spend an extra $1900 to have Barbara do everything or do we just stick with Tydee from Coco Reef and save the $1900 for other expenses? Thanks in advance for all your help! This website is awesome!
