  1. I was never a big avon user atleast for makeup products. With the wedding coming, they had some really cute things for my BM, so my cousin sells avon, so she tossed in a bunch of samples. Well this moisturizer was one of them. http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.as...d=&pf_id=31464 I swear I will never use another moisturizer in my life aslong as this one still works. Before I started using this, I had random dry spots on my face, no idea why. I did change when I put my moisturizer on also. I make sure I put it on once when I get out of the shower and finish toweling off then again reapply before I do my makeup. It's not real thick, not greasey at all. I love it!
  2. I bought stainless steel coffee mugs for my cups and I ordered 6 inch stickers from Zazzle. They seem to have a clear coat over top so I hope they stay on! I guess we shall see!
  3. We're just doing the OOT bags for those going on the cruise with us. Once we get back, we are having an AHR, but we're just doing hershey bars as favors for those. What we are going to do once we're done gathering everyone's pictures from the cruise is make a DVD with pics from the cruise and wedding itself and make nice covers and send them out. They will also be our thank you cards for the actual cruise/wedding.

    Mom Rocks

Aww that made me all teary just reading it. I agree moms really are the bestest!! I know if it wasn't for my mom, I wouldn't be having the wedding I'm having, just her help alone on my DIY stuff has been a lifesaver!!
  5. I just ordered these to use for a photoshare website for the cruise pictures. I figure I'll put the rest out with our pics that are being displayed at our AHR. So hopefully if someone wants a print from Bermuda they can, but then we can get more pics from our AHR since we're not hiring a photographer.
  6. She never told me how long it was going to take. But by going by the website, it says 3-5 days to process my order. The order ships 7-10 days after order is processed. Then an additional 2-5 days for delivery. Even if you add up the maximum amount of days for each step its 20 days. Which would put us at 1/26 at the latest. Well here it is past 1/30 and my order still says awaiting shipment! I've never had to dispute a charge, so I guess monday I'll fill out the form and see what happens. Avon seems to have some really cute wraps onsale for valentines day now for 16.99, maybe I'll call my cousin and have her order them for me instead. So my question I guess is, are the CC companies pretty good with doing this sort of thing? Besides it stating awaiting shipment on the website, I have no other real way to prove I didn't receive them. That's my biggest fear and I'll be out $130. Here's the link to the website that shows how long things are supposed to take. Personal Expressions - Information

  8. Yeah I'm good for the clubs/bars in AC. I haven't been to Philly since I was 21 I think!
  9. Has anyone ever had to file a CC dispute? Jan 5 I ordered my spa wraps. I found a really nice company on ebay, no negative feedback. I found out she had an internet store, emailed her to see if she had the font I wanted, she was nice and responsive. She even told me of a 25% off sale that was going on and gave me the coupon code for it. Well here it is almost the end of the month and I still haven't received my spa wraps. I check the website and it shows awaiting shipment. I've sent her 3 emails, and called and left a message today that if I didn't hear anything by Monday I was calling my CC company. Can anyone give me some advice how to go about this? I've been trying to contact the woman for over a week now. I spent over $100 on the wraps, and I don't really want to have to eat it. It really upsets me that she was so nice in emails, and she has great feedback on ebay yet I can't get my order or her to respond! Or has anyone ever used the company Personal Expressions? I could use all the help I can get. Thank god I'm far enough from my wedding to be able to reorder them through another company.
  10. Oh good find!! I plan on having my uncles wife do mine. We plan on taking a day and going to the Mac counter this way she can watch and take notes on doing my makeup that day. And since I plan on buying a bunch of stuff also, she'll know what is what!

She didn't, as a matter of fact, I think she recalled about 4of them and all of the details were fuzzy. She could not remember what she ate, what the BMs wore, what churches they were at, the names of the wedding couple,, etc. But I am sure the brides of those weddings remember! That is my point. Why have a wedding to please your guests and perhaps in 5 years and 5 weddings later, they won't even remember yours? As brides, we remember ALL of the details...our guests forget. We see the little things that our closest family and friends never see. Therefore, it is important to have the wedding you want to have. The memories of your wedding will be very special to you, long after guests forget. A small guest list can be a blessing. I couldn't have said this better myself. We have 21 booked including ourselves. I'm not expecting any others to book. We had about 10 others that kept saying they where going to go, but now have backed out, and that doesn't bother me in the least. The FI's best friend isn't going, who was supposed to be his best man. Which really bothers me, but I do understand his mom is really sick right now, and he has alot going on. However he has his cousin standing for him now, even though we had to pay part of his trip so he could afford it, I'd rather had him have a BM that he wants, not just someone to sign the paperwork. So I'll have to skip a shopping trip or 2! I'm just glad that both sets of parents can make it. Anyone else is an added bonus. And honestly if our guest attendance was bigger, I wouldn't have been able to do alot of the extra stuff I'm doing for people, like pay for part of the BM's trip!
  12. OMG I so wish the FI would agree to this!!!! I do think I'm going to use the sand ceremony wording though. I <3 Dr. Suess. I really wanted to have someone read "Oh the places you'll go" during the ceremony, but I was out voted. They read that at my senior class night and everytime I hear it I cry!
  13. This is the dress my mom is wearing, except in Latte. She's short and on the heavy side and it looks great. It's a very slimming style. David's Bridal - Halter crinkle chiffon dress with ruched bodice and cascade front.
  14. Since I'm using my grandmothers pearl crown I think it would look silly without a veil. So that would be a yes, I'm wearing one! I don't think I would feel like a bride without one though. Maybe I'm weird! Plus I love the pics of brides with there veil in the breeze!
  15. Oh I so forgot about this post!! Well I ordered the HairZing. Let me just say I L O V E it!! I have very thick hair, to much to pull the top back in a barret. Well this works perfect. And since my hair is layered, I have a hard time doing the twist in the back and using a clip. Well tonight, I got out of the shower, twisted it up and used my hairzing, and omg it hasn't moved!! I think I'm going to have to order every color now!
  16. I've personally never been there, but alot of the girls I work with go. Plus if it sucks we can always go down to Providence or Cuba Libre. I work at Tropicana so if we end up down that way, I can call a host to get us in free! Oh we're going in March, so I'll make sure I post and let ya know how it was!!
  17. For my bachelorette party we're going to Boogie Nights in Atlantic City, its a 70's 80's club at Resorts. There's quite a few places in AC to go. If you want to venture down this way, let me know I can give you a few other places.
  18. OMG I'm glad you're ok!! Amazing how a scare reminds of the little things we take for granted on a daily basis!!

Needless to say, I LOVE my Roomba! Which one did you get? We have all laminate flooring with a cat who sheds like a mad woman. Also do you have any type of area rugs, if so how does it work with them?
  20. I feel for ya! The FI brought something home, he's been sick for a week, my mom was here, now she has bronchitis, and I feel like I'm swallowing razor blades also!! I went to the Dr yesterday, she said it's not strep, its viral, and it has to run its course. It's course must be a 25K! Can it run faster please?
  21. I know what you mean Mel!! We leave on the 9th, however we're going to be out of town from the 2nd through like the 6th for the FI's godson's communion! Then we get to come home and pack! I finally cleaned out my closet and found everything I have for my OOT bags! Last thing to buy for them is puzzle books. My mom is coming over the end of Feb, so we can pack up some of my OOT stuff and put it in the spare room. I can't stand all my clutter!!
  22. I'm really not one to get reception gifts that are knick knacky. I'd rather have soemthing either A. I would use or B. Something that can be consumed. For our AHR we're doing personalized Hershey Bars. Both the FI and I are big coffee drinkers, so I had also toyed with the idea of personalized coffee single serve bags. Wine stoppers are also something I wouldn't mind getting. Small candles that are a beachy scent may also be a good idea, you can even do personalized labels on those. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't like candles! Hope this helps!! My creative juices are toast tonight!
  23. I love publisher! I've used it for so many wedding things already!
  24. Sure Estella, We're paying $600 for our venue fee, that includes using there site and having them set up chairs. We're also going to do cake and a champagne toast, but I'm still waiting on prices from my wedding planner. We're sailing in on a cruise ship so we're also paying for taxi's for the group from the port to hotel, that's running around $650 for 20 people. She is also taking care of the minister which is around $350. I decided to get the photographer for 2 hours, so we're not so rushed for pictures, that's running about $1000. I'm not doing fresh flowers on the island due to my wedding being the day after mothers day, so we're doing silk flowers and taking them with us. They're running me around $400ish. That's for my bouquet, MOH bouquet, 2 mothers bouquets, and 2 boutineers. We plan on doing dinner back on the ship at the gourmet restaurant. So that's $20 per person, which I'm not worried about. Music wise, I'm bringing a CD. That's about all I can think of atm. Feel free to ask away any questions!!
