I saw them there just a few weeks ago. Good luck! You should be able to have WHATEVER shape you want - it's YOUR wedding!!!!
  2. ooh, oooh - i'm not selling them, but i saw these while i was browsing her site today! They weren't the colour i was looking for, but might work for you... Etsy :: agapegems :: Swavorski Crystal Bouquet Jewels by Agape Gems
  3. It may be too late for my input, since i just saw this thread, but FWIW, here goes: If you do decide again that you are unhappy with them, why not spray paint them all white and start over? That would actually solve two problems - someone said they need to be sealed anyway, and you could re-do them without having to buy all new sand dollars. Plus the paint would make them a bit stronger and less likely to crumble, as sand dollars are wont to do.

I have a sapphire and highly recommend it if you are not looking for diamonds. Sapphires and Rubies are second in hardness only to diamonds and won't fade. I am sure you can find a great ring with a wonderful stone and one that you can wear forever! Your first ring will always be special to you, but you do want something you can wear forever, and something you can get a wedding ring to match!
  6. i think it is possible to find something truly fabulous and unique for quite a bit less than what you would spend at Tiffany's. I only have one BM who lives in NY and already has all the Tiffany's stuff she could want, so i went with something handmade over at Etsy. It's a great place for unique items. (Granted some of the stuff isn't the quality you would want to give for an event like this, but some of it is wonderful. You're just not paying the "corporate" or image costs associated with a place like Tiffany's.) This is the big part of my BM gift. There will be a few other small things thrown in... I think it was roughly $100 and looks so much better in person that i have already teased her that if she doesn't like her gift, i am keeping it! (And it will look stunning with her dress for the wedding.) Etsy :: SkyDreams :: Your Signature London Blue Necklace
  7. Here is where i saw the Blumeboxes... it's an old post, but there is a link to the site if you want to have a look. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...2-2#post155456
  8. i saw on here someone is using collapsible boxes (i think they were called BLume boxes... will have to check). you could also consider just paper gift bags - perhaps stamped with your logo or something. i have seen that as well. Depending on what you are including, say, if you are giving beach towels, you could consider wrapping the stuff IN the beach towel, if you could find a cute way to do it so it looks nice.
  9. oh wow - thanks! I have seen all the lists and try to write down all the bits from each bag that i think i need, but it sure is nice to see it all in one place!
  10. I am a Mac user at home, and i won't say i am GREAT at it, but i am getting there by trial and error. My Mac has so many features i still have no idea how to use a year after i got it. But i mostly just take the templates that people have created here and try to re-create them the best i can using Mac based programs. MOSTLY it works pretty well. (Of course, i download them at work on my PC and then try to make them work at home and compare the two!) I can tell you this - if you are thinking of doing ANYTHING from VistaPrint, their editing program (for customizing) is not compatible with Safari. Hmmmph... in this day and age! Hopefully some techy-wizard type can come along and help us both with tons of useful information... right? Anyone?? Bueller??
  11. NOOOOOO!!!! Not even close! Actually, all along i have been like "Yeah, i don't really have to do anything. The resort will take care of everything." What a dummy! Of course they take care of the basics, but there is still SOOOO much to do on my end! But i am getting there, slowly but surely. The guys finally have clothes, so that is a big thing. lol And i have 2 dresses (not traditional wedding dresses though), so i just have to make a decision. Mostly it is just a bunch of small things that aren't VITAL, but stuff i want to do nonetheless. I will definitely report back when all is said and done!
  12. you absolutely ROCK Tracy! Thanks so much for taking care of all this stuff! E-mailing you my address right now!

I know that sounds a bit.. hoosier but I have to say we had SO many people come up to us afterwards saying they thought it was awesome. But I say you play whatever your heart desires! This is YOUR day and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! Nothing at all with playing the bridal march! I have to make sure my FI doesn't see this - that is one of his favourite songs ever, but not one of mine. I would never hear the end! I really want to use Chris Cornell's "Finally Forever"... it's so perfect. Just haven't decided which song to use it for. Also Otis Redding's "That's How Strong My Love Is". I guess i need to get on figuring out all of the songs and what order!
  14. LOVE the one with the legs and shoes - very provocative, yet shows NOTHING. Your htb will love them!

The logo looks cute, but they haven't come in yet, so i can't say for certain how they turned out! (But everything else i have ordered from VistaPrint looks great, so i am not worried!) They have a special going on now (ends August 31) for 10 free notecards, and then i think it is something like an extra $5 per 10. Of course, that is the Canadian site - i am sure the US one is even cheaper!
  16. you poor girl! they are both stunning AND they both look great on you. no wonder you are having such a hard time deciding! I voted for the Provonias, because I like the lines of it, it just seems to be a bit more flattering style. Also, the other one looks like it would be heavy, with the beading and all, and you might spend the whole day tugging at the strapless top. Either one you choose will be beautiful though, so you have nothing to worry about there!
  17. Hi Tammy, I don't think this was intended as an attack on you or the forum. For myself, i was just relieved i am not having MORE problems with my stupid computer! I can only speak for myself when i say i had no idea this was a one-woman show run in your spare time from your home, but i'd just like to say - WOW! This is an incredible product (for lack of a better word) that you have created, and it is greatly appreciated by every bride here who would have had no idea where to start if not for this forum! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! I know there is not much we can contribute as far as the time it takes to run such a thing, but i am pretty sure there are a lot of us here who would be willing to contribute financially to help keep things running smoothly and give back to you for all that you have given us. For all that we ALL benefit from the site, there is no reason you should have to shoulder the entire financial burden yourself.
  18. Yeah, that's the way i do it too! Laura - i think you are now officially our hero. I believe (and someone jump in here if we haven't actually agreed to this!) we are planning on the multi-coloured (frosted to assorted rainbow colours) with the second logo (about half-way down the first page of this thread) in black. Is that correct ladies? So, just to re-iterate, as far as numbers, we have: catandcleo: 100 beachbride08: 50 tracy: 60 davematthews16: 25 niels408: 70 for a big whopping grand total of: 305!!!!!! Tracy, Can we each PM you our shipping info? And can you do PayPal, or would you prefer some sort of check/money order?
  19. what a great thread - and what awesome photos! I am now even more excited about this. I bought a Canon SD700 about a year and a half ago and one of the primary reasons i chose it was the underwater setting. So i finally got around to buying the waterproof housing for our wedding trip - and i can't wait to use it!!!!!
  20. I'm getting married at Aventura Spa Palace. i did the quick check on their website to make sure my date and time was available, and then i stalked it every day (okay, several times a day) for a few weeks until we booked. And then i sent them an e-mail to make sure they knew it was for a wedding, because we booked through Air Canada Vacations. I got my contract within 2 days. The Palace Coordinator in Florida (i assume their head office) and now my actual wedding coordinator at the resort have been extremely helpful since then. Just send them an e-mail with your reservation info and politely ask if they have sent the contract yet. Or better still - call them and confirm. I'm sure they understand that this is a big deal and brides get nervous about stuff like this!
  21. ooooh - ME ME ME!!! I'm getting married there in 6 weeks! I don't know how i missed this post when it came up! The wedding coordinator has been wonderful so far and while i have not actually been there before and was a little wary about booking something like this sight unseen, I have heard so many wonderful things about it, i don't think i will regret it! Sorry... i'm starting to get a bit excited.
  22. We plan to spend quite a bit of time diving... We have even gotten new gear just for the occasion.

No problem - and yes, i am sure at least one of us will - but please let us see yours when they come in too!!!
  24. Everything turned out gorgeous! And i am totally stealing your idea... Quote: Originally Posted by kevsgirl I love them! Thanks for posting on how to do this too.
