  1. i like the first parasol pattern, but they are both very cute! i also love the flowers you've chosen. but if i had to chose, i would pick the first parasol.
  2. Thanks for the advice!! I'm starting to have fun planning this wedding now, instead of just being stressed. I did some more peeking around, and here's what else I've found. Etsy :: PenelliBelle :: The Twinkle - Pearl Bridal Necklace
  3. ooh thanks!! i've been on the hunt for jewelry lately. running to check it out now.

  5. congratulations! you've definitely found the right spot for everything destination wedding planning.
  6. woohoo for fellow iberostar brides. congratulations, & enjoy the rest of your vacation in the sun!
  7. personally, i love them. you can find cute ones that don't look anything like the southern belle haha. but seriously, i say go for it! they are so cute. i especially love the monogrammed ones.
  8. HAPPY WEDDING DAY!!! i hope it was everything you dreamed of & i can't wait to hear all about it!
  9. hey ladies. i ordered my dress last weekend!! very exciting. so now i am on the hunt for the perfect necklace & earings. i want a necklace with a little "meat", something kind of funky. i was hoping for your expert opinions on what i've found. here's the dress: here's the necklace i am loving: Etsy :: MarlaJDesigns :: ALLURING-Swarovski Crystals AB,Swarovski Crystal Pearls,Vintage Rhinestone Brooch Necklace do you think it's too asymmetrical?
  10. Jacqueline, we just watched an american crime... i recommend it! but it is sad, i was crying so hard.
  11. hey, i'm an engineer so i can help you out a little bit here. to be considered an EIT (engineer in training) you have to have graduated with a 4-year degree from an accredited university & passed an 8-hour fundamentals of engineering exam to be an PE (professional engineer) you have to have been an EIT for 4 years, worked under a PE, and taken another 8 hour exam. these are the bare bones requirements, each state is a little bit different. my guess is that he is a PE, but it might be embarrassing if you address him as that, and he is not. so i guess my "engineering" recommendation, is to leave the title out. i don't think it would offend him .

  13. wow!! everything you've made looks awesome. what a great deal, thanks for sharing! ...time to get some pics so i can make a book too edit: i just looked into the forum on the site & saw pictures of books made by people who do "digital scrapbooking". there are some serious possibilities for someone with free time.
  14. oh no! at least you can get them again for cheap. did you order postcards? can we see pics? we'll help you spell check, lol

I don't think the sanserif type that you chose works either (on your date, etc.) Try small cap letters, or sanserif that's less geometric, or round. thank you! do you have a suggestion for a sanserif font? i'm not crazy about the idea of all-caps, i associate it with formal documents.

  17. hey ladies. so tonight i am working on my wedding programs. i'm planning to upload this to vistaprint & print them as postcards and attach them to raffia fans. so i need your opinions on them so far. i am only planning to include the members of the wedding party... i don't want to have ceremony details included because i'm plannig on a pretty short ceremony. let me know what you think-- especially what can be improved! thanks! as a .psd in cmyk mode the blue is more of a deep baby blue, not a blinding teal like my monitor is showing me here -aimee
  18. that's our date too!! we're having our ceremony at an iberostar in riviera maya. we sent out our save-the-dates in june, and now i've been working on pretty much everything else. i'm ordering my dress this saturday, and hopefully picking out bridesmaid dresses. i think as long as you get working on your guest list asap, and get STD's out w/i a few months you'll be in good shape.
  19. i'm hoping to order maggie's dallas marie this weekend. it was priced at about $750 before tax & alterations. (there is no beading or lace, which is why i think it's cheaper than her other styles) Dallas Marie - by Maggie Sottero
  20. good for you. i think you're right about your mom not caring. there will be so much else to be worried & excited about. what really matters is how you're going to feel that day, and in a dress you love, i think you'll be even more excited. everyone else will be feeding off of that! can't wait to see pics of you in it.
