  1. Congrats Ange - we are thinking of you today and can't wait to see pics of your beautifulness!!
  2. My nominations: Mrs: **Kat** B2B: SheriB
  3. Hi AtteGirl, I got my TTD at a Sears clearance center. I don't know if you have that where you live. We have Sears in Canada, and the clearance centers are where they send all the stuff that people return that is damaged, etc. I found the dress, and according to the tag, it was "dirty" on the bottom, but I found nothing wrong with it, especially since it was going to be a TTD. Best part is, it was originally $100 in their catalogue, on sale for $30 because of the "dirty" bottom, and then I was shopping for it on a half off day, so I paid about $17 total after taxes. I was so pumped! Definitely check out the clearance stores/bargain stores. You'd be surprised what you can find!
  4. Hi Ashley, I tried to search on ebay, and you're right, they don't appear to be there anymore, but I found this link on amazon. I Do Rhinestone Shoe Stickers: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home Try just searching on google and you might find some other sites where they sell them. They are quite popular, so you should be able to find them
  5. LADIESS!!!! I Have pics!!!! WHOOOTT!!! These are the 21 sneek peeks she sent me!
  6. Ang- everything looks so great!!! you are going to be so beautiful! I love your dress!
  7. Hi ladies!!! I'm back!! It was an absolutely amazing day!!! I just keep closing my eyes and remembering the feeling when I walked outside and towards the gazebo and I saw everyone standing there waiting for me, with the blue of the ocean and Sean was looking at me, tears in his eyes - it was AWESOME! It was really funny though cause i got up there and poor guy was dripping sweat! LOL! I don't have many pics yet, just a few that Sean managed to snap of me before we headed out for the party, my guests took a bunch, but nobody has posted them to our photobucket account yet. I hope they post them soon cause I want to see and I'm sure you ladies want to see them too!
  8. Hi ladies!!! I just got back from our trip and wedding at Dreams Tulum and all I can say is it was absolutely AWESOME!!! I will be writing my review soon, and it will be a little different, since we only had 13 guests, went with the free package, and did our own dinner/entertainment arrangements. I will say this though, definitely double check your contract!!! I double checked the contract, and she had written down the sound system as $625, not $150. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Once I pointed that out, she changed it right away and fixed it.
  9. Thanks everyone!! I had an amazing day!! It was more wonderful than I imagined! Ashley - I got the I do stickers on Ebay from a seller in England. Super cheap and easy to apply!

  11. Oh wow, hun, I'm so sorry that is happening. And seriously, people wonder why we stress out? It's because of dumb *sses like her! I hope everything works out and she's able to get them done in time, and that your FI was able to help you out. I too, am a cryer when I get mad. Let us know how it goes! Hoping for the best...
  12. Renee I'm sorry to hear about your timing troubles. If you don't mind seeing your groom beforehand, I would recommend pictures before. My photographer says that doing pics before (having a "first look" moment) is a great way to get one of a kind photos that most brides don't get. If you are curious, look up first look photos on google and you'll see what kinds of images you can get. You could do photos with your bridal party beforehand too, and leave photos with your guests till after so they will still be surprised to see you in your dress when you are coming down the isle. Just a suggestion! Also, if you want to continue partying past 10:30, the disco seems to be a pretty fun time for other brides who've been married at DT. That's where I"m planning to have most of my dancing, since we are just having a reception dinner at one of the restaurants (not private since there's only 12 of us including photographer). I hope it all works out for you, and I look forward to seeing you there!!! We should definitely meet up for a drink.
  13. Okay ladies!!! This will probably be my final post before I leave!!! Tomorrow is pack like crazy (I have some done, but I will be checking and double checking my lists)! LOL! I've posted my planning thread and accomplished some last minute shopping - feels good to have lots of stuff done! I have my mani/pedi tomorrow too! I will miss you gals while I'm gone and I'll try to pop onto facebook or BDW while I'm away. When I return, I'll finally be a MRS! It feels like it's gone by so quickly! I remember back in January when I first met all you wonderful ladies, and thinking, JULY IS SO FAR AWAY!! And now it's here!! Thanks for all the love and support! I can't wait to share my pics and stories with you all when I get back. Sue, have a wonderful weekend and party - congrats to your friend! That's an amazing accomplishment, she should be proud! Ali - glad to hear you got back safe! What a scary experience! And I'm so happy you had a wonderful trip - dolphins sounds amazing! So jealous! Sorry to hear about your neighbor too. Too all our preggers Feb brides - take care and keep coming with the wonderful stories! I love living vicariously through all of you! 14. Our rings: My engagement ring was designed by my FI and made by his dad (who is a jewellery maker), and my wedding band was custom made by his dad to fit my e-ring. FI’s ring was purchased and a few changes were made by his dad to suit FI’s tastes. Free stuff from Vistaprint! My garters (bought as gifts for me and I added the seashells) My photographer is coming from “home†with us. She is actually from Louisiana so we have never met. It’s a long story, but our original photographer from Louisiana was recommended by a good friend of ours who we met in South Korea. She got pregnant and her due date is 3 weeks before our wedding, so she found another substitute to go in her place. It actually worked out perfectly because I love the new photographers style and I’m super excited to meet her and work with her! Her site is Kaylynn Marie Photography For our ceremony, it’s a legal one, but we are adding our own vows and we are having a hands reading. The ceremony will be all white (chairs and gazebo) with just dark pink petals on the walkway. Since we have a small group coming with us (13 people), we are opting for the free wedding package that dreams offers. We are going to buy Maracas once we are down there for favours, and also to bring back as favours for our AHR, which will be quite large (100 people) who couldn’t come to Mexico. Invitations for AHR: This is my centerpiece inspiration I will use for our AHR. I will use hot pink roses and use our wedding colour ribbons to decorate the square vases. Then there will be votives around them. Well that’s it for now! We leave on Monday and I look forward to posting pics and writing my review when we return! ☺
  15. Some of my outfits and goodies for the trip: My hair inspiration: My makeup inspiration: My OOTS bags (made with help from my MOH): My trash the dress (the long white one): More to come...
  16. I want to start my thread by saying thank you to all the lovely ladies who make this forum a success and especially to Tammy for starting this all! This is such a great idea and you have helped so many brides! I have met so many wonderful people on here who I never would have met otherwise. ☺ I want to say a special thank you to my Feb brides and my SB ladies who have helped me so much in these last few months – you ladies hold a special place in my heart! Without the support of you all I don’t think I would have made it through this whole process without freaking out! ☺ We will be getting married July 10, 2010 at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa in the Mayan Riviera. My engagement story: My FI came to Korea four months after I moved there to teach English. He proposed on the first night he was there. I was so shocked since he had purposely thrown me off the idea of getting engaged since he wanted it to be a surprise. My reaction was "Are you serious?" and he still teases me about that to this day! LOL! Here are some of the details: My invitations were DIY (bought the boxes of them at Staples and Michaels) and I printed/decorated them myself: My dream dress: Parisia by Maggie Sottero My accessories: Earrings from a local bridal store and my starfish brooch for my hair My bracelets from Ebay My veil (don’t have a picture) but it was a DIY, cathedral length, off white veil – you’ll see the veil in my pics when I return ☺ My shoes and purse from The Shoe Company My bridesmaid dress: I don’t have pictures of my groomsmen or grooms outfits but it’s the basic, khaki coloured pants with dress shirt. DIY outfits that I made using iron-on transfers purchased from etsy (seller peaceloverhinestones) My bouquet and bridesmaid bouquet made by etsy seller jdleggans: This is my DIY guestbook, pen, ring holder, along with the bouquets: More to come...
  17. Cass - everything looks so great! I'm about to go post mine! I hope you have such a wonderful trip and I look forward to exchanging stories and pics when we both return!! YAY!!!!!
  18. LOL Nikki I thought of Cougs too!!!
  19. I love that recipe Di - and it really is easy and quick! I really love Thai food, so I chose this recipe. Thai curry is so easy to make and super yummy. Trick: instead of making your own thai curry paste using lemongrass, etc. you can buy the prepackaged thai curry paste in the store (it's really cheap to buy), then just add the chicken, veggies and coconut milk and voila! Done! Vegetarian Thai - Vegetarian Thai Curry Recipe
  20. Wow this thread is so motivating ladies! Keep up the good work! Did another beachbody workout last night! Total inches lost to date: 2.5 from chest, 1.5 from waist, 2.5 from hips!! YAY!!!
