Hey Ladies, My FI and I have been strugglin with an idea for a groomsman gift - the budget is @$200-$250 - BUT we have decided that all gifts given that are for the wedding party (or our parents) MUST be keepsake gifts, not a consumable (inital idea was nice sunglasses - but no one would keep sunglasses for a lifetime). My two girls are getting Tiffany Starfish necklaces.... but we are at a loss for the guys... The only idea we have come up with is a really nice hunting/fishing knife (we live in Northern Ontario Canada and this would probably be appreciated) Our groomsmen are the outdoorsy types - BM is a police officer who enjoys fishing, golfing, camping, and travel, and our GM is a factory employee who enjoys fishing, hunting and camping. IDEAS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are planning on doing two per person - but we are laminating all of the tags versus using the holders.... Has anyone else done this?

my e-ring does this sometimes (platinum) and it is because it is so thick - that, when you wash your hands your hands aren't dry underneath your ring. Best advice - for a while, take it off so the bumps go away - hydrocortizone cream can solve this overnight. then, be really careful about drying your finger off under your ring...

I know that my bridal party is throwing me a shower and I have indicated to them that only people invited to the wedding are invited to the shower - it seems like a gift grab IMO... However, my office always has showers for babies and weddings and only a handful of coworkers are invited to the wedding, thus I think that is a different scenario. But, as for a shower hosted by a close family member or by the bridal party (remember your mom cannot host this party either) IMO only those invited to the wedding should be included. That is the gist of most of the ettiquette I have read.

A collage is an awesome idea! I really don't think it is self absorbed at all to do pictures on thank-you cards - people love to look at pictures! I know I do! I love the idea of the collage - you guys really have me thinkin'
